I think your trying to hard with the 15's :p Time to go back to the 17's and see if you can get past 50 mpg.

Maybe 1-2 tanks more & I'll put the 17's back on. I do definitely miss looking at the 17's but I love the fact that I could get over 50 mpg without even trying on the stockers:D.

Don't you hate it when....(or this could be, you know you are a hypermiler when....)

Your HSI reads 68.6 mpg and you're wondering what you're doing wrong to get such lousy mileage on this fillup.

ha, you got a nice drive style and commute! mine is only 4.2 miles one way  8 lights and 3 stop signs

my favorite is the stop signs between 1 block and its a 20 mph zone, people gun it after i go and then ride my bumper for 1/2 a block it's like dude it's only 20 mph how fast should I go in 1 block just to stop

You drive around the neighborhood in EV mode and pull into the garage. You press P and, thinking this is a good thing to do, press the EV button to turn it off --- and then the ICE kicks in.

I'm going to leave this one alone and assume he meant driving fat people around. :D

Every time I think about going back to 17" wheels I look at my old fuelly numbers for the GenII (52mpg and 46mpg) and the Fuelly numbers from my friend SoCalBPrius. Then I'm a
Ok with the 15s for while longer. LOL

C'mon, Justin. Even you have to know that 15's will just make your fat people look fatter when you're driving them. :D

Worst case mpg I have ever seen in a 3rd Gen was 43 mpg running with three people, luggage for all three, seven grocery carts full of Goodwill stuff packed front to back floor to ceiling even under the seats and around the spare tire  That was running from Orlando to Minneapolis at the posted Interstate speed limits and at times over it just a bit

There are people on the forum running near and slightly over 50 mpg with 17's. At least that is what they post :)

I hate it when I am doing about 55mpg on a freeway going 70mph which is speed limit and you have the AC on efficiently and the bf claims that 1) you're driving too slow and 2) the AC needs to be turned up!

He tells me I drive to slow all the time. He has even jokingly pushed my leg down saying "omg go faster!" haha.

He has asked to drive my car but I have said "no not yet, you're going to ruin my MPGs." funny that I can tell him no because if he were to say no to me with one of his cars I would be mad! Haha. Double standards ftw.

I also hate it when you are on an amazing glide and some dumbass switches lanes in front of you for no reason and goes super slow and ruins not only a good glide but makes you hit a stop light and all you see in front of you is a big hill. Grr!

One of the three Municipalities I drive through on the way to work changes the timing on their traffic lights so I either have to do about 80 in a school zone or 20.
    That happened again today!

Or when you get 69.2 MPG and you think "If I was as skinny as Tiffany Yep, I would have broke the 70 MPG barrier!" (My friend Tiffany Yep is a model, a very skinny one at that. http://oi46.tinypic.com/25s1on9.jpg )

Best tank we've had this year (4.5L/100km), and with just a few hundred kms to go....the HV battery dies.

I probably am that skinny! I had my BMI and body fat done this week and I was at 20.4 and 6.4%. I dropped from 183lbs to 162! I need to figure out how to eat again so I can make the chubby excuse. lol

    My rant for this week:

I had to make many short trips and use the AC quite a bit so I gave up trying for good mileage. Then I decide to try and salvage the tank and was happy with the 55.9 I indicated until I read 52.4mpg calculated.
