I bet Car2Go paid for those chargers, though. And 3 of the 4 cars were gone after I had finished my shopping, so someone is using them. I work downtown and they are all over the place. I keep meaning to try one out (I got 30 free mins when I signed up) But I was bummed when I thought I wouldn't be able to charge!
Saw a blue one, only the second one I have seen "in the wild" yesterday around 3:50 pm, s/b I-5 vic. Culver Dr. in O.C. Couldn't read the dealer advertising insert, as I was over in the HOV lane, and she was three lanes over. (Probably anxiously awaiting her stickers!)
I was bummed, and I couldn't. I'd stopped by MVC to look at Junior Seau's impromptu memorial outside his restaurant and do some shopping. The C2Gs were plugged into every one of the charge stations.
Spotted one in Westwood today parked on Gayley. Had a UCLA parking permit in the window so maybe a professor? Anyone, anyone? BTW, I like the brushed aluminum looking panel above the license plate and the wheel covers on the PIP
Saw another WGM PiP (base I think) on Jamboree, heading north towards Portola at about 1030AM Saturday morning.
This afternoon I saw a Blizzard Pearl Plug in with Green HOV stickers, exiting Highway 680 (northbound), taking the Ygnacio Valley Road Exit
Saw my second PIP this morning around 6am going from 118 east to 405 south. This was a gray PIP with Hammer paper plates on it. This is the second PIP I've see in the wild. The silver trim on the hatch and the tail lights really make it stand out.
Saw a Blizzard Pearl PiP on the 605N on Sunday near Whittier, around 5PM with South Coast Toyota paper plates on it.
Saw my first PiP this afternoon while leaving work. Had a great license plate, something about being the #1 PiP.
Huntington Beach Toyota still has the Clearwater Blue Metallic for a couple of weeks now. $2,500 over MSRP
Was it Sea Glass Pearl? Were you downtown in Sacto? If so, it was me- I am downtown for a two-day conference - I usually work near Cal Expo. My PIP is Sea Glass Pearl and my plate says 'PIP NO1'.
At UC Irvine yesterday, I was number 4 in line at a stop light. The 3 cars in front of me were all Gen. 3 Prii (as is my car). One of those was a plug-in. There are a lot of Prii around.
Mossy Toyota in Pacific Beach (near San Diego) had 11 plug ins at list price when I bought my Clearwater Blue Metallic base model there yesterday after flying down from Davis (near Sacramento). They were easy to deal with and I would recommend them- ask for Mike or Jeff.
