    That's a must.

I'm still wanting to see what the finish is on the grill.

As long as the 2010-2011 fogs are the same as the 2012.

Is there anybody that would be willing to send me a pair of 10-11 fogs to compare to my 2012???? I will of course pay for shipping both ways.

    I'll make ya an offer.....

If I send you my Yaris fogs (same as a 2010-2011) and blazer projectors, will do you a retrofit for me? Then, you can use them to compare, and I'll cover the shipping :).

Almost 100% sure they won't work as the units are angled. The 12's are likely going to be flat-faced.

Haha.......I'm sure we can work something out but I'm not sure retroing the blazer is the best choice. These projectors use a 35w bulb. They do this because its a very small projector. There have been several reports on hidplanet about the chrome inside the projector burning & bubbling due to excessive heat either from no airflow & or rebased pnp HID bulbs. Once u retro these into a housing, ur not going to get that airflow over the projector lens.

Well, I've already got everything sitting at home, but have been so busy I just haven't had time to do it yet. I don't plan to run the fogs 24/7 like a lot of cars do, just moreso when I need them or the extra bit of light in very rural areas. Let me know, I keep the offer open.

    sfv41901,
You mention a heat issue above.
I agree but what is the correct work around to remedy this?

    1.) heatsinks
2.) air vents (dust gets in)
3.) Retrofit a larger fog housing
4.) remove glass cover to fog light, expose the projector lens to open air (incurs chips in lens)
5.) add 12v PC fans on a thermostat to cool housing

I am open to the best way to avoid the heat issue.

If you have access to a CNC mill, make up housings out of a block of aluminum with some fins if there is room. That will draw the heat away from the LED. You'll likely have the first Prius with billet fog lights :p

I would avoid retroing the blazer fog........instead I would use a HID projector since ur going through all the trouble of a retro.

I'm going to find out in a few days. I bought a cheap pair of 10-11 Prius fogs from ebay......mainly for the wiring harness & switch but also to test fit. Im going to meet up with madman on Fri the 8th to test fit the 2012 bumper cover on his 2010 & I hope to have gotten the ebay fog lights by then.

In the mean time, here is some eye candy :D

Hey SFV, look forward to this Friday and hope you get the fogs soon. I'm so jealous looking at your new grille. Love the fact that it's painted and fitted for fogs. I also saw the post on the Nokya LED find by wick1ert. Once you verify that the 2010-11 fogs fit on the '12 then I'd consider those for sure.
