Most of the dealers here in the Atlanta area seem to bundle the moonroof with the larger 16-inch wheels and there seems to be no shortage of this combination. I'd like the Four with Moonroof and 15-inch alloy wheels instead. What gives with this? Does one have make a special order and wait months? What are the alternatives?

Also, I'm 6-feet 3-inches tall. Does the moonroof impact or impair headroom enough to affect comfort for a person of my height? If so I'll need to rethink that option.

Have narrowed my color choice to either Classic Silver Metallic, or Moonglow. Are there any pros or cons associated with either?

what gives, is the dealership wants you to spend the extra money to buy the one already in stock.

yes, you might have to order it the way you want. the moonroof does take away headroom slightly, but it affects more the passengers in the rear seats.

i like both the color options you have.. silver tends to hide dirt a lot easier and in turn.. slightly easier to keep looking clean... the moonglow just looks really nice..

I'm 6'1. I sat in a 4 with a sun roof . I don't think it makes too much difference, especially to the front seats. I think I read you loose 3/4 inch in front. I ended up buying a silver metallic 4 without the sunroof from another dealer. Just could not make it happen with the sunroof car.

Do love the silver metallic with 15 inch alloys, though. Ours has black seats as well.

My dealer couldn't find a C3 with the moonnroof anywhere in a 500 mile radius and tried to tell me that they don't exist yet in either color choice that I requested. I am definitely within 500 miles of Atlanta so who knows? I think the dealers tell us what they want us to know, nothing more.

They may have been right. I just checked the local current and upcoming inventories there seem to be no cars with a moonroof. Last week, there were many.

Where are you able to check upcoming inventory? I have a dealer in the NY metro area looking for a Gray Three with alloy wheels, no moonroof, and he can't find one anywhere at the moment.

"Toyota Mall of Georgia" has a Three, Magnetic Gray Metallic with alloy wheels available on 5/4/12. It's listed at a Net Total of $24,420.50. (by the way, I am not in any way affiliated with "Toyota Mall Of Georgia.")

I have a 4 with a moonroof ... I actually like the larger wheels. Yes you sacrifice a bit on the turning radius but it is nice hitting a corner without the wheels squeeling. THe larger wheels give it a sportier feel and look better to boot!

I drove three hours to Kansas City to get my C4 with moonroof and 15" wheels. My local dealership said they couldn't find what I wanted at another dealer or in transit. But...turns out that some dealerships are owned by a some sort of independent group that only allows dealerships in that group to trade cars with eachother, which severely limited the places they looked at. I wound up getting my car from a dealer that could trade with anyone in the nation, although that didn't turn out to be necessary, as the exact car and color I wanted was magically in transit to the Kansas City dealer. It might be worth it to find out if your dealership is actually looking at all availability in the nation, rather than just from a limited group.

    I'm 6'2", 240-ish, with a C-4 w/moonroof.

No issues with the ceiling. Moonroof is ok. Not exactly my cup of tea, but will add to the resale in 20 years or so. I also have the 16" wheels. The larger turning radius is largely a non-issue. It doesn't cause a problem in daily driving unless you're such a sloppy driver that you need it to get out of trouble you've placed yourself into.

Actually my dealership told me that three weeks to a month ago. I ended up ordering one because they were acting like they didn't exist unless you ordered one.. so I did.

Heh... Okay, maybe I'm a little sloppy with my driving, but I have major issues with the 16 inch wheels on my C4. I drive daily in DC where the "DC U-turn" and tight turns/parking is commonplace. I've never driven a Prius C with the smaller wheels, but I did just come from a 2010 Prius IV and this thing definitely can't turn as well as that. I am definitely making 3-point turns in places where I used to do it in a simpler turn (tight corner parking garage spot where I live).

I do know the C feels about the same while turning as our old Land Cruiser (only about two foot difference). With that said, I am no driving expert and this could be user error... But I'm struggling here!
