Last week I purchased a used 2010 Prius! I really love it so far, but I have some basic questions.... First, the car was picked up by the dealer in an auction, so there were no floormats, only 1 key, and no anntena screwed on the roof, or owner manuals. I am wondering what else I might be missing. It must have been a base model, as it doesn't have fog lights, auto lights, or any other feature. But the person that bought it did install an after market Myron & Davis NV7TPR1 navigation system. Can someone confirm that it is a base model for me? I would love any tips on mods that I can do to make it an even better car, I would love to squeeze every last drop of mileage out of each gallon of gas. I would also love to add a couple of features that could be added to the base model to make the interior more inviting/comfortable. Lastly, and tips on replacing/selling the Mryon & Davis head unit would be fantastic being that it is more or less garbage. It looks great, and adds a bunch of great features not found on the base, but I find the software on it garbage. I really don't care if it has a factory installed look or not.
Congrats--enjoy. Regarding the owners manual, somebody posted a pdf, so try a search. There were 4 levels of 2010 Prius available to the general public (II, III, IV & V), so your question regarding a "base" model is difficult to answer. Attached below is a 2010 brochure, which lists the model differences, and should help you determine which one you have.
You can get owners manuals online at Toyota Owners Official Website: Service Coupons, Owners Manuals, Service Scheduling and More You don't have to actually join. Just use the dropdown at the upper right to select your car's year and model.
Thanks for the info! Turns out mine is the lowest model, the II, since it does not have the steering wheel mounted bluetooth control... That would be nice. It is still fantastic, and I am going to mod the hell out of it anyway
