Those poor Prii are trashed from being stored for so long. The HV batteries are probably long dead, along with the 12V batteries. And any of the gas in the tank would have gone bad a long time ago. Each of those Prii will probably cost thousands to get them running again.
Our tax dollars at work. After moving these cars, will they find any uncounted ballot boxes from the Bush-Gore election lost underneath?
How sad, these were abandoned while there was a prius shortage. No, just the 12V batteries. Toyota is on the hook for the hybrid batteries with their warranty, even though damage from sitting isn't really their fault.
I'd take one....at the right price. Check out this link for brand new cars sitting...... since 1997!!!!!! 150 brand-new 1997 Chrysler Neons is the ultimate barn find 35 mpg highway with the 5 speed using the newest EPA ways of rating, the 98 models were rated at 41 highway on the old EPA rating.
A stunning example of government ineptitude likely married with Miami's hilariously obscene housing bubble and new tax revenues. Too bad for Toyota they have to fix these ancient batteries now under the hybrid warranty. That neon is neat. I saw an article recently about possibly some brand new spitfires found in myanmar: EAA News - Spits Buried Since 1945 Located in Myanmar From time to time somebody sells a brand new car on Ebay that is many years old, too.
I wanted to see if this story was a hoax. It took some digging but I found this on the Miami Herald newspaper site: Miami-Dade has dozens of never-driven hybrids - Miami-Dade - MiamiHerald.com
300 cars * 15,000 miles a year * 5 years / 50 MPG = 450,000 gallons of gas not used, or used in a less efficient vehicle.
Miami’s . . . . . . those funkie characters . . . . another post for the "report errors to the new borad here" thread.
