    Hi All,

    MPG Spreadsheet:
    Welcome to Google Docs

I contacted Fuelly about adding more data fields for PIP Owners to input gallons and kWh and then
    display more than just MPG.
However, they aren't interested in doing it at this time.

So I contacted csriram45 (sam) who created the Pre-Order list and asked if we could use her
Spreadsheet to post our PIP Gas Fillups.
    She agreed with the plan.
By the way, she recently had a baby and will be busy for a while !!!

So I added a tab named MPG and added the Fillups that have been posted on PriusChat and those
    already added to Fuelly.

Select the Spreadsheet link and its MPG tab. **** Be Careful, it is NOT Protected ****

If you already see a Fillup you did, verify the data is complete and correct.

For new Fillups, enter the Data, your Member Name and all the fields, except the colored calculated
    ones.

Make suggestions for adding other calculations.

Again, Be Careful, it is NOT Protected.

    MPG Spreadsheet:
    Welcome to Google Docs

Calculated MPG didn't work for my latest fillup. Came up with 63 when it should've been 55.8.

What measures do we have against ruining the spreadsheet by a troll?

Google docs keeps a history of all changes and they can at least restore it to the prior state.

It also tracks who is editing it.

Dev, It does show 55.8 for RAW MPG.
Column C Miles divided by Column D Gallons

    Looks ok.

I backup a copy everyday and keep a few weeks of individual backups. Just tell me if you see a problem.

Since I just used Sam's Spreadsheet, I haven't figured out all the features of Google's file management.

    Any subject matter experts???

Not an true expert but know a bit.

    Under File you can select
    "show revision history"

Opens a list on the right with times of edits.
You can go to any past version and select "restore this version"

"Show revision history" shown grey in mine (not accessible), maybe you should be the the spreadsheet creator to have access?

There are 13 entries with data from the EV driving display for the tank:
    Total kWh: 592
    Total EV miles: 2423
    Total HV miles: 6468
    Average %EV: 27.25
    Average kWh/100mi: 24.43

I opened MPG, added a row and checked File, Show Revision History. It did show my name as the last Revision, but it didn't show or indicate what I did? I with it did.

Click bottom right where it says "show more detail in revision", then click on a revision of interest and it will show you (generally via colored lines) what was changed by that person. E.g. at 12:05 PM PT on April , aric.shen added 5 people on the bottom of the sheet. However I also don't see what change you did. Did you do something then undo it?

Broader note. having ryogajyc and violinist1 with gallons and no miles messes with any fleet average. (I checked fuelly but no added data for Ryogajyc there).

Why do you think that? If I look at the fleet average, Fuelly doesn't include all fuel-ups in the fleet average. There 37 fuel-ups if you show all and count them all up, but the fleet average reports 18 fuel-ups. Also, when I first entered the initial delivery fuel-up, I checked if it got counted in the fleet average and it did not. I just checked again by deleting it and it still has no effect.

Well the spreadsheet did not have a formula for fleet average. It would be easy to do a computation to exclude it which is what I was suggesting. But just leaving the gallons in the one column and with no miles in the other might have someone compute sums and then divide which would be wrong.

I did not want to edit the sheet (as I don't own a PiP), but am still very interested and tracking the PiP. I just copied the data into my own spreadsheet to see what the fleet average was. (If people want a fleet average I can add the formulas that handel empty miles.)

It seems its now sorted so at least its obvious there are zero in the MPG.

I'm open to modify the Sheet to be as Useful as possible.
Where would you have me Insert a Column and what formula would you suggest?

I just went ahead and inserted the formula for fleet average that ignores anyone with empty miles or gallons.

It would not be hard to extend that to other formulas for which the fleet average are interesting to you. (add more criterion rows and then use them)

ukr2, I want to thank you for the time you devote to promote this important MPG spreadsheet.

I call upon all prius chatters with a PHV to register their fuelings so the sheet can be developed into a meaningful database. When doing so, please include EV driving display for each tank (at least indicated kWh, EV miles and HV miles) so fleet average of utility factor can be calculated.

On the other hand - in order to keep some control on this unprotected sheet - I think only PC members (with PHV) should participate in data adding, thus, avoiding planting false entries by people that may have a 'personal axe to grind'.
As an example, I see 6 entries by pagemillroad in the period of 3/13 to 4/4 with total 1919 miles!. He is not a member (as far as I can tell) and the entries seem suspicious.
    What do you think?

I also note that drinnovation added two lines with formula for calculating fleet average MPG (thank you), however, someone moved these lines to the top of the sheet and tempered it!
I think that administration type of changes should only be done after approval by ukr2.

Let's keep it accurate and clean.
