When i picked up my Pip last Friday, My scheduled charging time was set to start at 1am and at exactly 1am the charging started. The following night I noticed my system date was incorrect, it showed January and the daylight savings time was off. I went ahead and changed it to March and turned on daylight savings time. Since then my scheduled charging time has been starting an hour early or 12am instead of the scheduled 1am. I was wondering if the system totally ignored the daylight savings time or it might still have the old start date of daylight savings time which used to be in April? Did anyone come across this issue?
FLIM, Did you get it figured out? I charge at home at 5am, then at work at 10am for a partial charge and after lunch at 2pm to finish the charge. I use Kill A Watt meters at both locations. I've looked a few times and it's NOT charging before the Time and IS charging after the Time. So I guess I'm ok.
Ken, No luck! My charging still starts exactly an hour early. I thought that yesterday being the First Sunday of April (Previous Daylight Savings Start Date) that maybe the system was looking for that date and will operate according to that schedule. So why is yours charging after your schedule time and not EXACTLY at the schedule time? Fred
My charges are starting at the scheduled time. Last night I set it for 6pm and got the email that the charge started at 6:01pm.
When you changed the system time, did you also change the dash board clock? These are independent of each other and the charging timer uses the dash board clock and not the system time.
Hmm. I know my starting time if off 10 minutes because I keep my dash clock running 10 minutes fast. Just a thought, have you tried changing the timer and then changing it back. Maybe the start time is stored in memory and doesn't respond to clock updates, but if you change it, it should reset.
In my original post, I mentioned that my starting time was on schedule until I turned on Daylight Savings Time. Since then it was an hour early totally ignoring DST. I will try to turn DST off and see what happens.
