prius c sounds after idle for hours?

    my new prius c two has been parked in the garage for 4 hours since getting home from work.

    i walked out a minute ago to take out the trash and it was making a humming noise, like electric humming.

    is this normal?

    it stopped after about 10 minutes.

    yes, these cars are alive. lol they make sounds at night time.
