Great car, Love it! It's a big improvement from the 2006 Prius.

    Concerns
When applying the brakes and holding the pedal down, I notice that the indicator for slippery/traction yellow icon appears in my dash when completely stopped.

There is no map option on the steering wheel that allows you to switch back to the Nav/Map system on the HD display. Is there a voice command?

My Entune app updated and worked the first day I had it, but now it doesn't work and the charging station location option doesn't work.

My charge sometimes goes up to 13.1 but in some instances it only goes up to 11.1. Any ideas?

Btw: I found a lock that fits the hole on the charger plug. No drilling necessary!

When would I use ECO? I use HV/EV during interstate driving but not quite sure when to use ECO.

    Thanks for the feedback..:)

    Nice upgrade!

On the first concern... it sounds like you might be activating the hill-assist function. Do you hear a beep when the light comes on and two beeps after a few seconds after you release the brake pedal?

For the second item, that should be a programmable feature on the NAV option screen to automatically revert to the map.

You must have a ScanGauge. I find that the higher charge reading comes first. Later there is the lower charge rate. Since everything seems to be working properly, I presume that the higher charge rate happens when there is "recovery" charging and the lower charge rate happens when it achieves "maintenance" level charging.

I expect my PiP any day now. I hope to know more, soon.

I have noticed the slip indicator light at least once while breaking at a stoplight. I don't remember if the light was flashing or if I heard a buzzer, indicating that I had activated Hill-start assist control, but I'll pay more attention if I see it again. The owner's manual shows the following about this indicator light:

I've also noticed hit and miss performance when attempting to use Entune. Usually if I force quit the app on my iPhone and re-open it, the car will start communicating with it properly.

Page 247 of the owner's manual shows the following about ECO mode:

If you prefer the accelerator pedal response when ECO mode is on, you can leave it on at all times (in EV or HV mode). If you don't want the air conditioning performance to be limited by ECO mode, a Toyota dealer can turn that off.

Not sure I would agree. If you are only showing 11.1, and you drive normally, that is all you will get vs some that consistantly gets 13.3 and drives normally. They will have almost 20% more of additional range.

Did you ever determine if there was an issue with your car ie just getting to 11.1 ?

Mine does seem to bounce around. The first couple of charges were 11.1 then some at 13.3.

Thanks everyone for your input. You have anwered just about all my questions! I need to check on the NAV option. I hate having to hit the Nav button on the dash to see the map.

I believe I heard a beep or two when applying the brakes. I will listen more carefully next time.

    Thanks,:)

The EV miles range adapts based on how your car is driven. If driven in difficult terrain and/or with heavy acceleration, the max EV miles will go down and vice versa.

    Yep, me too. :)

It's actually not that hard to find. The straight section of most luggage locks will fit in the locking hole. I couldn't the exact lock I'm using, but this one is pretty close:

How hard are you depressing the brake pedal? I noticed that I inadvertantly activated the hill start assist control by depressing the brake pedal very hard. Try less pressure on the brake pedal.

Hard enough to stop the flow of power from the battery to the electric motor.

    Thanks,

Jesse, I had the same question:
from nav to map and vice versa. Could not find it in the manual. Is this true that we can custom this?

the lock for the charger plug, is this something that came with the prius or had to purchase!
    thanks

"Map" or "Show Map" voice commands will bring the screen back to the map screen (at least with my Gen 6 Denso unit)
