    Yes, it comes in the 205/50/17. I was too tired to update the list with that size and the 175/65/15. :)

    They are indeed heavy. Keep in mind that weight may not play as large a factor as sheer friction. That is why the mpg drop between my 15lbs 17" wheels and the 24lb 17" OEM wheels seem to be the same. :( It will be interesting to see how these work out.

    These are my predictions...

    MPG = Energy Saver A/S, AVID Ascend, Defender

    Longevity = Defender (90k), AVID Ascend (85k), Energy Saver A/S (65k)

    Price = AVID Ascend or either Michelin if you catch the $70 rebate either way it is only a $26 difference unless you don't get the rebate.

    Performance = Not sure. My money is on the AVID Ascend but until it is tested we won't know. I think the Defender will be the least performing but it's just a guess. The dB Super E-Spec was a great performer for a LRR tire and the Ascend uses some of the same technology.

    You left out the Continental ProContact EcoPlus. It is rated as long wear (80k), is priced low at $80 or so, is a great performer, and is decent for mpg. You can't go wrong with it unless you are looking for the absolute best mpg and treadlife be damned (Energy Saver A/S or EP100).

    are the EP422's better than the goodyear integrity tires? I was quite happy with the stock Integrity tires.

    By a long shot. Integritys may have rated high for dry braking in the Tirerack test but everything else was well below average. Wet braking is downright dangerous!

    I have no problems with the Integrity, but I can get the EP422 cheaper than the Integrity. If all properties about the 422 are the same or better than the Integrity, then i'll have no problem with the 422.

    i've been trying to find out more on these tires too.. pretty sure they're the ones i'm gonna buy when the time comes but there's so many awesome review of the ecopia's its hard not to buy those instead

    Yes, a lot of people are using them. It ranked very higher with Consumer Reports as well. The Energy Saver A/S will net better mpg but the ProContact is better in all other respects and it is cheaper and may last longer which may balance out the lower gas mileage.

    Yes, I bought a set a few months ago. So far they seem OK. A little better road grip and faster "turn in". MPG has remained about the same as stock. Which would indicate a little better MPG after the tires break-in. The ride has not improved - I still feel every crack in the road.

    Any info on Yokohama AVID Ascend road noise? Also, the UTQG is 800 A B. Should I be worried about the B? (I've lived in Iowa my whole life and NEVER used winter tires.)
