I joined the club a little over a week ago...I love this car...I would take a better pic, but it has been raining all week...I've got the PLUS package on a 2011 II. I was one of the "suckers" that bought that package, but they discounted it enough that I feel pretty good about it. I love the 17" wheels, the drop and with the sway bar she handles surprisingly well. The PLUS badge on the back is a little silly though-but I'm coming from a VW CC R-Line...so I guess I this is the Prius version. Mods so far-25% tint all around-I prefer it to be the same for the whole car. Clarion stereo so now I have an Ipod hook up/Sirius/and Bluetooth. Husky liner...I'm sure more will come.
Can't believe the difference warm weather makes on mpg... It's been unusually warm in NY this winter/spring- but the mornings are still in the high 30's to low 40's. This morning actually started out warm- the OAT gauge indicated 59F in the driveway. Drove my standard route (28.8mi) to work at nominal speeds, and noticed my "Trip B" average mpg steadily increasing from yesterday morning's reset when I filled the tank. When I powered down at work this morning the "mpg since last start" display showed 56.4mpg! My average on Trip B is now up to 52.4mpg. My overall mileage since I got the car (total 806 mi on ODO) is now 50.4mpg indicated. I'm loving the warmer weather... wow!
I think the OEM 17" wheels are magic. Seems like those are the only ones able to get 50mpg without much trouble. Could the high offset and aerodynamic design be why? The Plus Package wheels don't look aerodynamic but they seem to do ok as well. Hmm I think someone needs to let me borrow a set for some testing!
The Plus wheels are forged and supposedly light weight We'll see... I can weigh one of mine, when my car comes in and let you know. The tire weight can be looked up and subtracted from the total weight so we can compare that to other wheels. Less weight = less work for the car to turn it which should = higher mpg. That is as long as the wheel design is not a total drag on the air flowing past it. Then to throw in another variable, the Plus body kit is designed to lower the car's coefficient of drag so we now have another unknown Mike
Same here in PA. With the warm weather, I am noticing a 6 MPG improvement from when it was Cold. Up to 55 MPG. Nice.
I would swap with you I think the shipping would kill the deal though. I need to find some stock 15's locally. I am curious to see what I could to with OE 15's with LRR tires, since I am the exception that can get 50+ MPG all day everyday with my 17's I should be able to get in the 60's with 15's.

Hi everyone, Been reading the forum and owning my 2010 trim II for a while but this is my first post. I updated to package V wheels, installed OttoNavi dvd/nav player, lower door trim, and rear bumper applique. Here are some pics. Love my Prius and glad to join
#98! Mine's a 2010 V with misty grey leather that I took delivery on 12/30/11. I traded in my beloved 2004 Prius that I ordered new in November 2003 and accumulated 182,000 miles on it. Love them both!!
