I know it's a bit too early, but does anyone know if there is a Lock Pick in the works for the Prius V? I had a Coastal lockpick on my 2007 and I miss it badly..
Would love to know if there is one out there too. I miss that so much from my lock picked aftermarket pioneer I had in my FJ Cruiser.
I want my passenger to be able to put in an address in the GPS, or to do a "Bing" search or whatever..... I paid big bucks for the "Technology Package" but I can't use the technology unless I'm stopped....I NEED a Navigation lock pick and will pay extra to get it.
I think he meant the PriusChat Shop... I took a gander and there is a 'lockpick' for the nav system, but not sure if it works for the Prius v or not.
It looks like it's designed for the v too, it's in the Prius v section. Here's the link but I don't really know what the on/off timed version means. I'd really like to do this as well. If someone does soon, keep us informed, thanks! PriusChat Shop : Toyota Prius Navigation Speed Lock Override [Prius Nav Override] - $80.00
I did, sorry...that was a crappy posting on my part! Attached are the install instructions for the Prius but Danny said they are very similar to the v.
I would consider getting one but the more I use voice recognition the less I feel I need a lockpick, and I just have the veethree. Isn't the advanced technology package of the 5 supposed to have more intuitive voice recognition? Mine works more than adequately, "destination 1 main street Whatever California".
It means that the switch is a 3 position switch much like the power window switch except the first position is latched and it latches the override relay and circuit so the override is active. The off position is just that, off. The 3rd position is momentary exactly like the power window switch. After you press and release it, it activates a timer relay. If you activate the timer relay and decided that you want to reactivate the speed lock before the timer relay timed out, turn the bypass on then off.
