Is your center glove box missing the shelf?

I miss the removable plastic shelf that my 2006 model has in the center glove box.
Did your PIP come with one?

If you're talking about the center console, I too liked the one in my '06. None in the PiP, ASFAIK.

I noticed that too, it has what looks like holes for one to mount but there was none in mine... I liked having it in there on my 2010.

The one in the '06 was loose, and just sat on supports. If you bumped it, everything got dumped out. Was the one in your 2010 fastened in place?

Yeah, it flipped up and down. When you flipped it stuff would fall off but I kept cards in it which always seemed to stay put so for that it was good. (Cards, like the ones you need when shopping at supermarkets, home depot etc discounts).

And the one in the Gen III Prius is a pivot type. It looks like it fits in the PIP (hinge holes in the corner) but people hated it since you're forced to dump the content every time you lift it up! I'm wonder if my 2006 try fits my PIP console box (is that what it's called?)

Yes but you can pivot the thing up (dumping the content in the process).
I prefer the loose one since you can move it without spilling the content.

I tried the tray from my 2006 console box in my PIP.
    It doesn't fit.

Also the top glove compartment had a shelf in my 2007. It gave me more access since you didn't have just a pile of stuff, like lunch coupons.

And no back seat cup holder, which pulled out of the center console.

I have to also buy a $35 Garage Door Opener since the Base PIP doesn't have HomeLink.

I've noticed the ICE running for a little bit even though I had 6 more miles of EV available. I wish it would tell me WHY.

Though I still love the car.

I think the Gen 3's moved the back seat cup holders to the back seat armrest.

That's where they are in the PiP. Right in the middle. My wife was upset when she could only find the two cup holders in the front center console, so I rummaged around and found the back two.

I sat in the back to confirm we still had the room for my 6' friends and it does. But I didn't look at the back seat center arm rest. I will later. Thanks.

I just want to confirm that if you take the tray out from the center console of a Gen III 2010/11 it will fit into a 2012 including the PiP. I kept mine from my 2010 before selling it and forgot... I just found it and it does indeed fit in my 2012 PiP.

I think I'll drop by the parts dept and see if I can order one. Wonder why they left it out of the PiP? It's handy for small stuff so that you don't have to dig through the bottom of the box to find it.

Yeah, I actually ordered one online.. I didnt think I needed it or wanted it, but then I thought it would be nice to have. I'm also usually pretty good about justifying random purchases after-the-fact.

Did you have to order for a 2012 hatchback? At my local parts dept, if it isn't listed for the specific model you have, they get worried, even though it's obvious some parts and accessories are going to be interchangeable.

No, the one I ordered was for a 2011. The little notches are in the console for the tray, so it just popped right in. Toyota definitely cheaped out by leaving it out.
