Looks like they're selling projector fogs for the Yaris on ebay now. So, if anyone already has the OEM fogs, this should be a simple swap without having to retrofit. The only thing I hate is the damn LED halo ring. I think they look stupid, but that's a personal opinion lol. I've asked the seller if the LED ring can be removed.

If I can find a set of just the bezels for the Prius fogs, this would make it an easier fog light transition (and cheaper) than the retrofit option. I'll admit, I trust TRS products more for quality, but sometimes price makes a difference.

I saw these too and don't like the halo look either. They look to cheesy IMHO. But, if you could remove the halo or disconnect the use of it and somehow cover or hide that halo. Than yes, you have an easier and cheaper build. Just add a quality hid kit to it. I would like to see a build on that. Shouldn't be so hard.

I also thought about just the blazer fogs with just a clear fiberglass lens that mounts in front where the original fog light lens would be. Just more as a window with the blazer lights mounted behind them.

You may have to wipe down occasionally but no worries of ever having frost that you can't reach and clean

I know you can disconnect the halo since they have a separate wire for them. I'm not sure about covering it up, though. I am waiting for the seller to get back to me on the ability to remove the ring. Usually, you can remove them but whether or not their particular projector allows that without needing something else done is yet to be determined.

I did manage to find the bezel's online with and without the fog light. I don't need all the wiring and stuff, because it's already there from the bling lights and that cheap "universal" projector kit I have. So, I ordered a set of the bezel's with and without the fog light. That way, I can do a retrofit and/or decide the yaris thing is sufficient, I can always sell the other to someone that wants to do something. I'm sure either way someone would take the other off my hands.

Well, ordered those LED turn signals and threw in a set of the CREA reverse bulbs at the same time. Used a code to get 10% off.

For anyone interested in the fog retrofit, TRS anticipates having the FINAL (as in, last) shipment of the Blazers in about 8 business days. They had a used set of Fusion projects that they said were better performing than the Blazer, so I'm going to get them and see if this will work. I also ordered the projector Yaris ones off ebay, since that should be a simple job to do and test how they work.

That said, one of the sets will most likely be up for grabs once I settle on which ones I will use. Will try to remember to come back here and post when I'm done.

    Dude,
I just installed my bulbs with the "equalizers/resistors" and they still hyperflash. Did you have to replace you flasher unit?

No not at all. It was all plug & play. Did you get the 7440 with wires attached to connect to the resistors? If so, that's the one. I got the same exact one as to the link you provided.
Have iJDMTOY resend new ones. Probably a defect. Or switch bulbs and resistors to opposites sides. Other that you got me

Figured out what the problem is. The resistor wires got cut when I put them in the rear fixtures. Poor design or I am doing things wrong. Did you have this problem?

Looks like you have a ground wire shadow in one of your pics. Is that coming from the headlights or your fogs? Can you double check please? Thanks.

ImeanGreen was asking about your installation.

The wires were simply cut from the binding of rotating the lamp holder base into the stoplight housing. There were actually two places of contact. I can't see how you were able to get those wires in without the same problem. Did you not rotate the base to lock in the lamp holder?

I got all the stuff, except the blazer kit, in the mail today. I *was* going to work on this project this weekend, but our friends out in California decided to send some rain across the country this week and it's slated to get here on Saturday. Needless to say, I won't be out in the rain working on the fog lights. Unless the weather happens to change from the forecast, which isn't unheard of, it'll be another week before I get to these.

I'll post back on the projector kit from ebay with the ugly halo ring. I'm hoping it can be removed, as most can be.

I did rotate & lock the bulbs in place. Maybe by mistake your wires were caught up in the gap of the groove where they lock and simply tore apart as you tighten since there was no more slack to be given...

I picked up those Fushions you mentioned from TRS & gonna try something new. They should be here tomorrow as tracking shows. I'm going to go without the housing & just build a bracket to hold fogs in place where the oem's would be.
Worst case scenario, If they come out looking like crap... I have an extra set of oem fogs to cut up and manipulate for a the new Projekt Vision.
    I'll keep you posted

For those wondering about the ebay projector kit:

1 - Yes, the HALO can be removed which leaves you with just the projector. Be careful if you do this, as the halo ring helps keep the front and back pulled together. I'm sure you could glue this back into place if you felt a need.

2 - If you like the HALO but not having it light up, you can just pull the LEDs out of the ring. It was just 2 small LEDs on the end of a wire.

3 - It doesn't sit inside the enclosure like doing a retrofit would. It's the front glass with a "holder" for the projector. As in, it's completely exposed in the back, but that's not a big deal.

I just attached a few pictures of the units attached to the OEM bezels. For those that already have fog lights, this is a cheap, simple, easy upgrade to projectors. Well, it's easy for those that don't have them, provided you know how to do the wiring yourself or know a buddy that can. The projectors basically have an "O" Ring at the point the front and back come together to keep it "waterproof". I'd imagine that this is a common size you could find a replacement online or somewhere if you had to at some point in the future. It's raining today so I won't be out crawling on the ground removing the current setup to install these. I assume it'll take about 30-60 minutes to accomplish at this point, because of having to swap the HID out of the old ones, into the new ones, remove the old, install new, etc.

Now, I just have to see if the switch that came with the light kit is the same as the blanks in the Prius. There's a cheap, radio-shack version of a switch with the current setup.

Possibly but it would have had to happen twice as both the rear lights did this. Sure would like to know how you got yours in without the problem.

Not sure if I did anything different than what you did. I believe you could return them & exchange them for being defective.
Next time wrap them with electrical tape & don't force any pressure when locking.

Those came out nice removing those halo's. Do you plan on replacing those tiny projector with the new blazers or trying to see how those work?
Can't wait to see the outcome....

I plan to start with seeing how these work. I also got the Yaris kit on ebay, so for another $65 I'll probably try the retrofit as well. Worse comes to worse, I sell one on here and see what I can get. TRS expects the Blazers in by mid-week. We'll see, I've got some stuff to take care of in the house as well that's going on 6 weeks now....
