Hey, nice meeting both of you guys in Dianne's office today. Have a safe trip going home, and F8L, enjoy the new car. Critic, he's breaking in a new ride, so don't run off and leave him. Also had the pleasure of meeting Lurk Azusa. Fun to put faces with some of the names from PC. By Tuesday or Wednesday, I hope to change my signature!
I'm back home and exhausted! I promise to respond to everyone and add a pictures from today but I have to get them off my cell phone and I'm too tired ATM. The sale went somewhat as expected but I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful everyone was at the dealership. Dianne was knee deep in brand new Plug-In Prii and when Mike and I showed up she was already helping Rogerv. Still she took the time to get us set up with someone to start my paperwork so we could get out of there in a timely manner. The transaction went very smoothly and I was ready to roll out in my beautiful new car in under 45min BUT...... Mike reminded me that I should have the backup beep removed, set the 3DR SKS and adjust the auto off headlight feature. The sales crew was great. They took the keys and informed me it may take awhile since it is Saturday and they are very busy. I had been talking to another staff member about his duck hunting trip up near one of my preserves in the Sutter County area and when he overheard that we may be in for a long wait while the service dept. makes the adjustments to my car, he volunteered to take us over to the service manager and see if he could speed things up. He did and they had my car adjusted in less than 10min! These guys are great! Everyone was very helpful and it was by far the best dealership experience I've ever had. Kudos to Dianne and the folks at Carson Toyota. We then took a side trip to Premier to pick up some body film to try and protect my hood and front bumper from rock chips during the drive home. I'll let Mike tell you about that part and the insane cars they were working on.
Roger, it was very nice to meet you. I'm sorry we so rudely interrupted your meeting with Dianne. We were wired and tired so my only thought was to sign papers and grab the keys!
Yay! so, F8L, are you going to "install" your cool "subwoofer" in your new Prius? How long until you haul hay and fence posts? Enjoy your new ride... I hope to see it in September
Hi Rene! I'm actually pretty impressed with the stereo in the 2012 Model Three. It is lacking in big bass but I've been growing wear of that in my GenII so this stereo will stay stock. You'll definitely get to DRIVE it in September. Hugs! Ryan, so far I feel like the GenIII is a completely refined version of the GenII. What I mean is sitting behind the wheel feels very familiar and totally Prius but everything about the GenIII is SOOO much nicer!
Picture #1 Mike, do you think anyone will notice the wrinkles in our temporary "clear bra"? Picture #2 Mike adjusting the tire pressure knowing that I'll whine all the way home if it is less than 40psi. We decided given the warm temps to set it at 46/44psi. Picture #3 Of my mpg over the entire trip since I left the dealership. Notice the average speed! I'll get more pics today or this week.
:faint: As I slowly recover from my shock long enough to put a few words together in the right order....Congratulations on the new car. I'm going to miss that great-handling Salsa Red with the awesome stereo.
I will say that the new car is not nearly as nimble. It feels like a tank compared to the little Salsa car.
Well, you'll just have to get that fixed. I'd gladly have taken that redhead off your hands, but getting her across the border would be a problem.
I listed all of the PPP P/N's maybe a rear sway bar or some lowering springs might be in order? Posted from my iPhone via the Tapatalk app.
I saw that. Mike mentioned numerous times that he may just show up at my door with a set of TRD springs and some tools. He is trying to decide if he wants them or not and since I cannot afford them he wants to use my car as a guinea pig. lol
New springs, sway bar, 17's .... I can see them in your future Hey, solar roof .... good. You need it for Sac type summers. Let's see the big numbers .... I just filled up last Saturday and I think we just switched over to summer blend gas cause I'm hittin' about 52, 53 on gage. Longer trips last few days. had some 50 F something weather. Well, congrats on the new car Justin! p.s. - I was hoping to see a pic of you guys with Dianne, ah well. If you got one post up.
