After going through the sticky in this subforum on Weathertech rubber mats I think it's pretty clear they're an inferior product and overpriced. The Husky liner looks like a better product but it doesn't have the grooves and compartments to catch all the water, snow, salt, mud, etc and protect your pants. So is there no other alternative out there???

I searched around and found the Nifty rubber mats made by Lund International to be more promising and reasonably priced. Right now it is only available for Prii's pre 2009. So, sweet you owners of those years. As for us Gen3 2010 and beyond, looks like the manufacturers have not produce any for us yet but hopefully this thread can get things moving.

Those of you with a Gen2 and who decided to give it a try please report back to this thread! It does look like a superior product to what's available out there. Also, I know the Priuschat store sells the Weathertech stuff...I'm not trying to knock on their mats but concensus appears that their stuff is not so good, looks great and a good summer mat but not very good for winters.

I have 4 pieces Good year rubber mats purchased from Target and so far have had great success with them. They are also cheap at $20. :)

Its funny you mention those. I just saw them at a discount store here in Ithaca ny. If I remember correctly they are $10 for the set.

We can get a lot of snow here though so Im still thinking of a tray/liner style mat although I was tempted by the Goodyears.

We had them on our 05 Matrix and now on 11 Prius; they are holding up well. Rear mats are a little difficult to secure in position, but aside from that no problem with them... :)

I would like to find a good set of mats for the Prius. Keep us updated. The best mats I have ever owned were in my Toyota 4 Runner. They were OEM winter mats. They had lots of tall ridges and borders. This mat could hold a gallon of water.

I bought a set of 4 generic rubber mats at Costco soon after i bought my prius in Nov. 2009. Not sure if they're still available, but they were very inexpensive. They don't fit perfectly, especially in the back where they're a little small, but they do the trick in the mild weather of So Cal. Not sure how they'd do in regions where snow and rain are more prevalent in winter.

I am using a set of mats I bought at our local Sam's Club , cost around $20, available in several colors and seem to fit reasonably well. I don't have a picture of them, sorry.
