Hi - I missed the pre-order period but I want to get a plugin prius asap! Can anyone recommend another dealer that has a lot of orders/cancellations that I should contact? I'm fine going anywhere in california to pick it up. (I already contacted diane) Thanks
I strongly recommend Andrey Kamenetsky at Putnam Toyota in Burlingame. I have never been treated this professionally and efficiently at a very attractive price as whith him. No games and he has the volume to make this scale. Good luck! Mark
Lots of us used Diane at Carson Toyota if you are in Southern California. She is very responsive...Not sure she has any cancelations or not though. Anyway, Dianne Whitmire Carson Toyota | Scion 1333 E 223rd Street, Carson, CA 90745 in Sunny Southern CA 949 689 0717 cel 310 522 2317 desk line 707 202 3618 eFax [email protected]
To second theiding's post. I had the best car purchase experience i've ever had using Andrey Kamenetsky at Putnam Toyota in Burlingame. He dealt with all of my annoying questions, gave me an amazing price, and was super professional and easy to work with every step of the way. I could not be happier with my dealership choice (and the car!)....
I just cancelled my order (literally 30 mins ago). Gilroy Toyota, Blizzard Pearl, advanced, march build.
I'll Third a vote for Andrey. He emailed me from the dentist and made me the first to pick up a PIP from him. Some others have mentioned getting slightly better deals, but I prefer not haggling and just getting the car quickly. His guys spent a lot of time making sure we got everything. Overall a great experience.
+1 for Putnam/Andrey. I picked up my PIP yesterday - they were just getting the 2nd shipment in. Everything was done over email.
I think contacting Dianne is a definite must. IIRC she said somewhere around here that she had the most pre-orders for the Prius Plug-In in the United States (confirmed by Toyota, somewhere between 150-200?). For sure there will be cancellations (we already see them here on the forum). So you'll probably want to hit up all the popular dealers, including Putnam as suggested here. Check the spreadsheet too to get an idea of other dealers people used (the spreadsheet is in no way complete, but its better than nothing) Good luck
