The base '12's come with new wheel covers, which don't look too bad. Underneath them are the same alloys as the '10/'11's, but black. I can't wait to take them off but the lady is making me wait a month b/c she's scared she's going to curb the wheels
Well here's my baby a 2011 Three with the Toyota Ground Effects Kit. I got the OEM side mldgs, Tinted Windows and took off those ugly wheel covers!
thanks for the welcome !! I also started the Black Knights because I just bought a black one too. Love them both! Tbone
Some very nice pix here folks! Seriously considering BP, looks good and helps keep the heat down in the summer. One question- hows the dirt factor with BP? Thanks.... Rob
White and Silver are some of the best colors at hiding dirt. It sounds funny but dirty white cars simply look a little off whereas most other darker colors definitely look dirty. I'm hoping to become part of the BB this weekend. I chose white this time because it stays nicer looking longer despite dirt and paint chips/scratches.
My last rental Prii was black and it looked nasty with one trip down a dirty wet road Hope you hang onto that Salsa as a daily driver. Keep the new BP all shined up in the garage for weekend cruising around Mike :tea:
I wish I could afford to, Mike. I need the money for the down on the BP. No way in heck I could afford a new one otherwise. Hell the GF doesn't think I can afford it anyway but I told her I just want to be happy and a new BP with solar would do that considering I drive 2-4hrs a day. I'll be keeping this one mostly stock. Well, maybe lowering springs, HIDs, and a rear sway bar... Ohh and I still have the 17" wheels from the Salsa car..
Thanks, My current vehicle is silver- and I hardly ever have to wash it due to being embarrassed by dirt- Was hoping white was similar. Had a white RX7 back in the early 80's but that was too long ago to remember any details other than it was a sweet ride. Have told all the dealers I've spoken with that black is 100% off the table even if it's a blowout deal. Have had two black vehicles (Ford Pickup and Triumph TR-7) and both were a nightmare to keep clean (the TR-7 was a nightmare in other areas too ). Even waxing the darker colors is more of a chore if I remember correctly. Seems the BP is a premium color- of course, because I like it! Oh well, it's only money right??
White --> better at hiding dust. Silver --> better at hiding dirt. Yes, there's a difference between the two.
