    Just the morning trip. Yep, no charging at work. Do you know what screen shows the ratio. I was flipping thru the different trip meter settings to get the numbers I gave. Do you mean the screen when you turn off the car?

    Yeah, I ran ECO mode for a while on my 2010 but it is simply too sluggish. Normal works fine for me and my MPGs aren't any different. YMMV...

    Trip B (all) 65.2 mi Cons: 48mpg Ave 17mph (gotta love LA traffic :( )

    I'm a little surprised that you have 4.8 mi EV avail on 25.7 mi trip. Did you switch to HV mode or did it regenerate that much EV range or something else?

    Is that for Trip B (lifetime)?

    What about the ratio for Trip A? That's the important one since you started with a full charge.

    The car came without any charge, so Trip A was the start of the charge. Trip B is lifetime.

    Yesterday's trip was a mixture of HV and ECO, no EV at all.

    I had 4.8 mi EV avail because I chose not to use EV until it ran out. I plan on using the remainder on the trip home tonight.

    Ok, you drove 7 miles on EV so far. That must be from this morning. So 25.7 miles - 7 miles = 18.7 miles on HV.

    That's like 27% EV and 73% HV for this morning trip. You still have 4.8 miles left so we'll see how it goes on your way home. Make sure you use it all up! :)

    I am concern that kWh is saying 0. I thought it should not be 0 kWh since you put 7 EV miles already.

    When Toyota officially introduced the 2012 Prius Plug-in Hybrid it was stated that it "will allow true EV operation and performance for up to 15 miles at speeds up to 62 mph." I expected the EPA rated blended gas/electric range to be less than 15 miles, but I'm wondering what conditions are needed to get the trip computer to show the 15 mile range.

    Has anyone who received their car been able to travel close to 15 miles in EV mode when driving under ideal conditions?

    I remember Toyota saying in September that the computer will learn from past trips and better estimate EV distance over time.

    dang mark, if I'd known, I'd have mentioned pEEf. You know he mod's the portable charge cable (that comes with the car) with different hardware and a switching power supply so that the EVSE can charge off 120v - 208v or 240v. Very slick ... L1 or L2 from the same device. I know he's usually VERY busy, but if you pm him, he may want to put up a sticky (with the help of the mod's) on PC to that fact. I mean heck, I wouldn't have bought MY EVSE if I'd have known his mod was about to be released. And I'm SURE others would rather spend just a couple hundred for the mod, rather than maybe $2,000 for the hardwired jobbles like you & I have. Just a thought.

    What's the state of charge of the EV battery when it came off the ship? And what was was it when it left the factory? Two short EV's on and off the ship and at port plus 3 to 6 weeks self discharge equals how much used capacity? This is what the computer is initially seeing as EV range?

    Mine had no charge at all at pickup. Pushing the EV button returned an error stating that there wasn't any charge available.

    You have a running MPG average on your trip B, right? Lot of talk from all about EV range, but that average is going to be important, right?

    Sorry to be so blunt, but can hardly wait to see www.fuelly.com stats for the PiP.

    10/11 Pri about 47.x MPG, 2 Volts have 122 mpg and 2 others 66 mpg.
