"My Plug-in Prius is now on its way"!

Does anyone know when the New Century 2 left Japan?

 

I THINK it was 2/8 or 2/9. I have to go through my past posts here.. its all documented here somewhere.

It left Japan sometime on 2/9 (not sure what time zone the dates are on the website or even what specific time it left)

 

Yes, it seems there was a batch of emails that went out at about 3:11 PST. Me and my buddy got it at the same time. Only a few hours before the ship will be docking in Benicia.

 

It looks like New Century 2 passed under the Golden Gate.:welcome:

Quick! Someone go down and take some pictures! The Golden Gate webcam went dark about 20 minutes ago.

 

I too just got the "car shipped" email. My car is on the NEW NADA and left ~ 2/15.

Exciting!

 

I think that if I lived in San Fransisco I would have been on the Golden Gate Bridge, watching for it.

 

there should be a prize for whoever gets the first pip!

 

It is really hitting me know that the moment is getting closer. The first batch of PiPs has officially arrived in America! Can't wait for my car's turn to cross the big pond. Just saw that the New Century 2 has already passed the Golden Gate. It won't be long before a few owners get the privilege of posting the first blogs and pictures of their new PiP. How I envy them!!

 

This is likely the geekiest thing I've ever done (and that's saying a lot).

Sorry for the Loch Ness-like quality. It was getting pretty dark. On the other hand, the sunset was spectacular.

This is new info, but it is somewhat disheartening… maybe they'll run production early.

 

Looks like the NC2 is docked in Benicia. I imagine they will offload the cars today and then it heads south. Too bad there isnt a webcam we can watch as the cars come off...

 

I love the goober factor . . . it means I'm not alone.

 

I checked in and found that my car was built a day early 2/20 instead of 2/21. Now to wait for it to get put on a ship. The wait is killing me

What I don't really get is how the Toy.com site says for my vehicle:

"Manufacturing month confirmed 1/27/2012",

but still no info listed for: "Your Plug-In was built".

 

Did you check in with your dealership?

 

Erica (Prius Team) said that "Manufacturing month confirmed" simply means that the month your car will be built was confirmed on that date. But has nothing to do with the actual manufacturing month. So if they made the decision on 1/27/2012 to build your car in March 2012, for example, then it would appear as what you see on the website.

 

if they have determined what month they are going to build it, why don't they tell you?

 

Mine has always said it on the left side (to the left of the dates and check marks, etc)

 

Every single one of my peeps is welcome to all the details I can find.
I just provided a build sheet, build date and details for someone in WA state... while their dealership is ignoring their calls and emails. Shame!

 

Woo hoo! New Century 2 is on its way out of Benicia now.. next stop Long Beach :cheer2:
