I just got my navigation speed bypass installed today. It works as it was advertised. Now I don't have to pull over to enter a destination, actually my co-pilot takes care of that. The installation took about 40 minutes. I had the shop put the switch under the center just over the seat heater switch.

The unit was the Beat-Sonic TVK-10 ( Beat Sonic USA ). Completely plug-n-play. The molded plugs fit the plug just behind the nav unit. Actually the tech had it hooked up for me to test in about 10 minutes, the rest of the time mounting the switch.

How does it actually work? If you flip the switch, does it perform the override? Does it time out? Where did you mount the switch?

    Thanks

There is a little switch that was mounted under the console. The switch lets you switch between the nav unit and a DVD player. I don't have a DVD player for the car, so that's of no interest to me. When you switch to DVD it deactivates the speed sensor so you can input to all functions that you have while stopped but can't because of driving. Once you've made the choices you want, you put the switch in the NP position and everything works like it did when you got your car from the dealer.

If you did have a DVD player, it allows you to play it on the Nav screen while the car is in motion.

If I can figure how to post a picture here, I'll take one fo the position of the switch.
