HID H11 Kit 35W or 55W?

I'd go with the 35w kit. It will run cooler and have less of a chance of melting anything and should ignite more reliably since the current requirement at startup should be less. Bulbs will also show up as their true color as opposed to being washed out with the higher wattage ballast. This is the same recommendation you would get from HIDPlanet.com.

 

35w will be plenty. I thought most HID kits come with all of the wiring harnesses required, but if not then YES get the battery harness. I'd recommend buying from a reputable company such as: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/index.php?cPath=32 versus buying a cheap $30 kit on ebay or something.

I would go with the 35w kit and skip the wiring harness that contains the relays. It'll be plenty bright. Lots of folks do not recommend the 55w kits due to color consistantly issues, heat and load on the wires.

How are you liking the HID kit? I also ordered a kit from xenonsupply, but the 6000k color. Hopefully I'll be getting it today. Have you had any problems with glare to oncoming traffic? Did you need to readjust your headlights?

 

The cut off on the gen 3's projectors are very good with the HID's. I wouldn't adjust them unless you get some negative feedback on the roads at night.

Btw, make sure you get the H11 connectors like how it's shown in the video. The plug that goes to your factory H11 connector. Mine came with just the metal spade connectors and I had to email them about it. They sent me the H11 connectors afterwards.

 

I wouldn't get the high beams. Plus you'll have to find another mounting spot for the ballists.

 

HIDs take a bit of time to warm up and reach full lighting potential/color. They are not meant to be used for instant on applications like flash to pass or on curvy mountain roads where you constantly turning them off and on. You will have poor performance and drastically reduce the life of the bulbs and possibly the ballast. For this reason it is best to use halogens.
