I too had the same email/PIP "it's on it's way" debacle. Learned earlier from Paradox, (I think) or someone else, the cars are on the Pyxis Leader, with ETA at Balboa (Panama Canal) of 2/27. My order #155 and all the East Coast cars built around 2/3/12 seemed destined to arrive in NY (Newark) on 3/5 per my dealer. He did not have complete VIN or Vessel, upon request, or chose not to dilvulge. Oh boy, it's a big secret!!!!:spy:

Thanks Rebound. Even though the California ship left later, I think a day, it'll arrive at least a week to 10 days earlier then the one coming here so I'll have the chance to get many reviews from west coasters before mine shows up. At this point, I'm just glad they are shipping and with luck by the end of April most of us will all have our cars! :)

I just got update from my dealer that my PIP is on vessel New Century 2 to arrive at the port of Benicia on 2/22. The car should arrive at dealership a week from then. Lets see how that goes.

Man I hope so. You'd think with order 270 I'd have heard when they were building mine by now. Checked the web site today, same info. Maybe they ran out of blue paint!

Same for me. I'm #484 and mines not built yet either. Maybe they are building the east coast cars later? At any rate we can read some reviews from the west coasters while we wait for our cars.

So, is this car, the PiP, the first mainstream plug-in hybrid one can buy? ...

Sorry GM. Volt is not a hybrid :D

I'd like to add that I recently emailed my dealer (Pat Coleman in MD) and he stated that the NEW NADA is expected in port (NY) ~ March 13th (NOT May 5th as the picture seemed to indicate). That means east coasters with cars on this ship can expect their vehicles ~ March 20-23.

My main fear right now is that this giggling is going to rapidly degrade to manical cackling soon.

Hmm. When I talked to him on Wednesday he didn't have details on what boat my car would be on, only that it was estimated to leave on the 18th and I'm looking at early April for picking up my car. A ship called London Highway left overnight headed to Panama (assuming I didn't read something wrong, again ;)) and the port is looking pretty empty right now, so I hope my car is on one of those boats!

I'm #90 with a West Coast car and mine's not been built yet. And i don't have a specialty blizzard pearl either.

The Toyota website had my car built 2/08 and in transit on 2/13. I just talked to Pat Coleman this morning about my car, as yesterday was the 1st day that the Toyota website had updated my info to include a transit date. So there was a 3+ day delay from the transit date to it being posted. I've yet to receive an email about it being in transit (and yes I've checked my spam log).

Regardless, if you are East Coast, it looks like a solid month+ from Japan to port/dealership. Just an FYI for future people.

Remember, I dont think its your order # that matters, its probably how long it took your dealer to accept and for you to confirm that also plays a role. Then there is the logistics of where you live..

No update for me yet. All I know for sure is they won't build it in February. How I wish I'd ordered from Dianne instead! I had no idea that the dealer I chose would make two months difference in delivery date.

Looks like it. I worked with the folks at Geweke Toyota in Lodi, CA and they were totally on the ball. They did the final confirmation on their side around 9:10a that morning +/-. I got a number in the 500s and car was built 2/7 (base in silver).

Just wanted to do the shout-out as a thanks for their responsiveness.

I'm terrible at the multi-quote button (I'll learn) so here goes a mush of responses:

    1) EPA figures are on our Toyota.com website as of today, EPA will likely post very soon
    2) not sure what you mean by your dealer deciding where you were in line--yes their response time could definitely make a difference, but it's not like they sent their customer orders to the factory and placed customer Z in front of customer X.
    3) Rebound, your info should state March-April build months as your estimate. I'd expect to see an update for you very soon.
    4) the others that shared order numbers in this thread, #90 and #270, I show you both as Feb-March estimates and manufacturing months confirmed, so you're just waiting on a specific status showing your car was built, right?

They're all coming, soon...love the excitement.
