12 volt battery sensor?

    in gen III, 12 volt battery area, above the battery is some sort sensor, 2 wires going somewhere. what is it. I asked the dealer and they said it was a vent. Never trust a service rep

    It is the Auxiliary Battery Temperature Sensor as posted by Ken.

    thanks, tried "search", but did not return "sensor" for battery posts. I'll have some fun at the dealers

    The battery temperature sensor was added for the Gen III.
