Prius Plug-in Page - The 'My Order' page now has updated order information

Mine did the same thing. Earlier today it said 2/8/12, and now it says 1/27/12. I don't remember what it said last week, but I do know that my production week originally was supposed to be 2/13/12 - 2/19/12.

 

Mine shows it was built on 2/1.

(and what I know about my car is that it's estimated to be built 2/13 estimated)

 

I got a kick out of checking my order status this afternoon.

It said: "Your Plug-In was built: 2/8/2012".

The first thought that came to mind was, does that mean today or yesterday? After all, in Japan it's already tomorrow.

Then I wondered what the next status values would mean, since the ship will cross over the international dateline. Going in a direction from east to west, travel would be backward on the calendar. Right?

Perhaps my mind has already snapped in anticipation of the excitement of getting behind the wheel of a PHV again... and this one even better than the early model I drove 1.5 years ago.

BTW: My internal data says your car was built 2/3.
Which is 2/4 there or almost 5 in dog years.

 

Interesting tid-bit: This morning on the Toyota 'My Order' page it said that my "Manufacturing Month Confirmed" date was today, 2/08/2012.
Now this evening it says this date is 1/27/2012. That's 12 days earlier. So maybe my build date will be moved up 12 days. My dealer told me that the build was originally scheduled for the week of 20 Feb. So, we'll see what happens here.

 

I think that what happens in these cases is that data in a particular field is reviewed and adjusted to what's right. Meaning, that I think for Toyota, 1/27 they determined for sure that YOUR car's build month was confirmed.

To share accurate information from here on out means they have to go back and correct inaccurate data in fields.

I love watching you try to figure it all out. I think Paradox nailed his decoding of the cryptic email a select few of you got. Hope you enjoyed that fun puzzle. Wish I could say it was intentional, but the real fun is just beginning. Sorry for the 10 or 15 of you who got that buggy message and wondered what was up, your pretty/fun message should be coming this week.

I won't give it away, but Dianne is right about some of the dates she's cited, which should tell you the triggers for the status changes may not be exactly what you think they are. Chew on that!

You are right, Allannde. Blizzard Pearl is probably the last color to be built. Maybe the painting process takes longer? I can't wait for the car to get here.

 

Erica is beng a tease. It is her job. If you look close, she is also giving some good information. Not the least of this is that she is taking responsibility for something which went "not so well". A lot is happening right now and it is a good thing that Erica is keeping up on things and participating with us.

Meanwhile, Order #612 will be built sometime in March-April. Yawn.

 

Just checked ship's status. The New Century 2 left port recently and the Texas Highway is shown at dock.
