Considering what you are doing taking care of your grandmother, some of the way you were raised did take. I hope things work out for you.

Not sure I'm following u now... But, on a lighter note, let's focus our mental energy on the little pig on the Geico commercials who is excitedly ziplining and screaming, "WHEEEE!!! WHEEEE!!! WHEEEE!!!!" :deadhorse:

Well, others haven't shown class to GPG either, including unfairly calling him Mr. Caregiver after what he's gone through.

Thanks. I tried to avoid any further adverse comments by just deleting the pics of the lights so there wasn't anything left to say. But, I decided to repost them, because there are just certain people in the world who live to put down anything that anyone else does...So, I don't have any more oomph left to keep trying to hush their nonsense. They seem to get a kick out of getting a rise out of people, so I'll keep my rises for better-suited purposes!! If the pics of the headlights were ugly or truly looked like Christmas trees, then the television station wouldn't have picked them out of all the other countless headlights that AACStyle has done, many from very high-dollar cars such as a new Lamborghini that they just finished.... So, I just thought it was something positive for our Prius community! Sorry if I've said anything that was taken to be negative to someone else, as it wasn't my intention. I've spent a lot of money and an extraordinary number of hours researching the various things I've chosen to blend together in my modification process, so I feel naturally inclined to defend what I've spent such great effort on. If I haven't said it enough in the past, thanks again for those KIND people on here, such as yourself, who have provided me with much needed insight on various things throughout the stages of this mod endeavor!

Your car looks good. I like that you take time to personalize your car the way YOU like it. I am all for people customizing their cars. Keep up the work and thank you for taking care of your grandmother.

Keep the character attacks to yourself or the whole damned thread can be deleted. It's already gone too far with your care stories. In a very tasteless manner I might add.

Of course it would have helped if you had simply refrained from mocking what he does for a living.

You don't use Photobucket to post pictures of your car? That's how I do it so if my computer did crash I still have all my pictures. :D

So that's why I couldn't find them. :( I was looking forward to seeing them. I'm doing an HID retrofit on my 09 Corolla S head lights so I was looking forward to seeing your pics. Congrats on the TV show though. Any idea when it will be on TV?

I stuck the pics back up here on the forum......... It is silly, in retrospect, to let one person's %*$# perspective ruin my excitement. It was definitely NOT my intent to have the pics serve as the sugar for someone's Haterade! lol! I thought I'd have the lights back a lot sooner (so maybe I'd have finished pics....even though I kinda wanna wait until EVERYTHING on the car is finished before I show stuff now, especially since my pics of my headlights-in-progress were met with such...disdain), but once the lighting place started sending me pics of different things they were trying out (in their polite way of trying to appease my countless "brainstorms" I've thrown at them), I would change my mind, and then they'd do my next brilliant idea, and then I'd see another pic somewhere and it'd inspire me to go a different route, etc... Then I decided to re-do the stock front turn signals, and the Bimmer turn signals I put on the front side fenders (where the emblems used to be that said, "HYBRID"), and the rear lower bumper Lexus RX brake lights/reflectors I got, and the front fog lights. So their normal 6-day turnaround for headlight customizing has turned into months now! Then they had some big light show in New Orleans that also took some time away from working on my lights. Then the tv channel did their televising thing during the end of this last week. But, my car is barebones right now anyway, with only part of its outer body panels on it while the shop is doing its best to read my mind and make the body kit pieces look like I want them to (gotta be one-of-a-kind, ya know! jk). If there was a big Prius market for stuff like this, I'd get molds of these pieces made and then mass market them, cause the body shop dude has totally transformed some of the parts. When I showed up Friday with a new design for how I wanted the rear spoiler/bumper to incorporate the 370z rear foglight (after they had just refiberglassed new body lines into it from one of my previous whims), they (jokingly) said they were gonna have to just go ahead and paint it so I'd stop buying more stuff and changing my mind every other day. But, like I said previously, this whole Prius undertaking has been a mental distraction for me from other everyday things. Thanks for your positive comments, and enjoy your Corolla's new headlights when they get finished! Oh, and SpeedTV said they'd let me know when the show aired. We'll see how that turns out.... I had a friend get on the Dr. Phil show, and they were supposed to let him know ahead of time when it was airing. He ended up accidentally running across something on the internet later on, after the fact, that let him know it had already aired. And we've never been able to find a copy/recording of when he was on the show anywhere. Oh, well, my hour of sleep last night is presently taking its toll, so I'm gonna crash! I look forward to updates on your progress as well!

There's the link again... Remember, they're in progress, things tried, changed, done away with, etc.... Those are just the only pics I have left of the whole process!

Just spoke with my lighting builders, Advanced Automotive Concepts- AACstyle.com , and they informed me that it was HOT ROD TV who showed up and did the headlight televising on Friday...not SpeedTV. HOT ROD TV's 2011 Schedule & Episode Destination - Hot Rod Magazine . Even funnier having something from a Prius featured on HOT ROD TV! lol! And, just a bit of FYI, we came up with a way to leave the stock lighting plugged into the factory harness and work the same, but the additional LED lighting added in various places inside the headlight housing will be individually controlled by a 4-channel remote that will be also hooked into a multi-function remote that does all these cool fading, strobing, color changing, etc., effects with the LED's. I'm excited now that I can control all the various parts individually, have them come on at separate times, or come on together with other LED's, etc. I know there are those that will think it's all overkill, but hopefully it will all work in a more "normal fashion", considering they can all be controlled individually.

I feel like I just dropped acid at an Electric Daisy Carnival event!

They pit a lot of work into those headlights. A LOT!!!

Are you going to show it now?

lol. yeah, if you looked at them very long when they are doing that, you'd definitely feel that way fer real! They just filmed a clip of everything they WILL do, and all the different zones they set up on the headlights.....IF my wiring guy decides to wire them accordingly. I'd have to come up with 5 dash switches, though, to operate all the zones independently, and I don't know where I'd even begin to find switches for our car dash/interior anywhere... and no, I hadn't planned on getting into the showing the car scene. It would be cool to have the time to do those things b4 I get old one day, but that time isn't now, for sure! lol
