Center Console Tray (under shifter) from Japan

The thread gets better! Trash bins and center console! I'm gonna order both today!

 

Waiting on my trashbin! Decided to just go with one for the passenger side. My wife frequently leaves straw wrappers in my Prius, so hopefully she'll learn to put the garbage where it belongs!

 

I got the trash bins and the tops do not stay in place. When bumped they come off real easy. So I glued the tops on with super glue and all is well. I dont like the two way swinging lid much. They limit the access and amount of stuff it can hold. Makes emptying a little more difficult. I would prefer a lid hinged on a single end. Otherwise they are good for straw wrappers and klenex.

 

I'm looking mostly for gum wrappers and Taco Bell receipts. Has anyone found any other trash cans that may be better? I can't figure out anywhere else in the car to place a trash bin.

 

Just stumbled on this thread, while looking for something similar. That's just such a large space down there that it seems really inefficient for it to be all one bin, unless you've got a lapdog that can curl up in there.

I searched PriusChat but didn't see any reference to it. It's a hair more expensive than the plastic one is currently going for, but looks like a good option that might be more useful to some. Plus, it's (apparently) soft-touch...



BTW - just look at that Prius pictured in the ad!!! (edit: not in this photo, but the actual eBay ad... It has fender skirts and mucho mods - looks pretty good for what it is.

Holy crap! I did the same exact thing with my swiffer. I have a spray can of febreeze in there too......

 

Just ordered this product for my Prius Plug-in. I couldn't decide if the black or the gray would go better with the Plug-in's color scheme, but I ended up purchasing the black. Fingers crossed the color matches.

 

Does the "Prius Carmate" tray fit the 2014 model without obstructing the cigarette lighter receptacle? I see the exact same item on Ebay variously described as 2010-2012, 2009-2013, 2009-present, etc.

 

I don't think there are any changes in 2014. It fits my 2012 fine and does not obstruct the receptacle.

 

Mine came in and works great. Black definitely goes good in the Plug in. Does not block cigarette lighter or seat heaters. Goes great with my coin holder. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.
