Going home for Xmas... 2,761 km's (each way)

Okay, quick update.

We are leaving in 12 hours.

Driving withour intervals, we were changing drivers at 900km's and 2,000km's


Prices of petrol stations close to highway:

Ireland: €1.54/l
UK: (not necessary to fill up as 1 tank was fine to cross UK)
France: €1.64/l
Holland/Belgium: €1.79/l
Germany: ~€1.70/l TBC
Poland: €1.24/l

Small service was done in Poland(as I was bit late to do it in Ireland):
Oil purchased: castrol edge 0w30 A5/B5 4x1l (at oil&filters specialized shop)
Oil changed at toyota main dealer.
Also replaced the following:
-12V aux battery to VARTA Blue Dynamic 45Ah L+/330A 238x129x227mm (purchased separately and replaced @toyota - fits perfect)
-pollen filter
-air filter
-oil filter
-technician measured thickness of the disc's and brake pads all around
-computer codes were read+reseted (one code B1421 displayed, related to air con)


Total cost of above materials + labour ~€250, cost of journey (i need to calculate it)

Yes, Christmas food is giving extra pounds

I promised few pictures:

platform in Calais (FR) to drive into the train (Eurotunnel) pic's from Holyhead (UK) - old quarry beside the ferry terminal and last pic view from parking to ferry terminal

 

I had about 1 finger clearance between stock 1955516 tires and the body. There is still some 4-6 cm inside clearance as this tire can go deeper into the body- yes i would say car was really heavy. Considering my passengers brought heavy luggage. The dog was only 15kgs.

 

I guess I was thinking only about kilometers=hours that I need to drive ahead of me and Eurotunnel was just a really short (timewise) distance. I completely used this time to take a provisional sleep as I had more km's to my destination.

I wonder if cars were ever allowed to drive inside the tunnel before the trian?
