    my 2010 certified prius came with new goodyear eagle ls2 tires.anyone have experience with these tires?are they good or cheap junk?

    I consider them junk compared to much better LRR offerings at a similar price point like the Continental ContiProContact with EcoPlus or the Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max which are in the $70/ea price range.

    Now if you can have them removed cheaply and sell them for a good price it would be worth it to swap them out of a LRR tire with a longer treadwear warranty like the above-mentioned tires. If removing them is a pain and you don't care about saving fuel and safety then keeping them is an option. :)

    Anyway, I usually just hang onto whatever tires come with a new car and then upgrade as soon as they're ready for replacement. Others may have had more luck that I but I've never been able to get much for selling used tires.

    I hear ya. Just keep in mind that a 3-4mpg loss from a non- LRR tire can add up to a lot of money after 50000 miles. It usually pays for another set of tires. Poor traction can lead to a really expensive fix or even deaths. Just things to think about. :)
