Part II: Installation and Initial Review of Valenti JDM full LED tail lamps from TWP

Not necessarily, as the stock front blinkers don't have the gray or chrome border. The stock is edge-to-edge plastic (clear border) and I think they can do the same for the LED DRL/front blinkers.

 

I guess I haven't seen my car in so long now (since it has been in the body shop over a month now) that I have forgotten what they look like! lol

 

I guess I never thought about that part, since I'm getting the chrome ones. However, my bodykit covers them up anyway......so doesn't really matter what they look like! lol

 

For you guys reference, we have connection in Japan to get MBRO front Led signals/DRL.

Need your feedback now, if we are going to import MBRO LED signal, which style would be the best selection.

I have a PM out to Bino, asking for URL for LED Front DRL \ LED signal... Like to get more pictures that are closer with light on an off and etc of Bino’s Lights... My understanding is that MBRO LED lights are amber only and don’t have DRL... not sure if gray boarder is bigger or not.. I am in for GB if we can find good LED turn with DRL lights... also love to see daylight photos full sun to make sure they will be bright enough.


Can you get feedback from Valenti if they are going to design a version of Front DRL \ Turn Signal.

I can't remember the details but bino sent me the link to the guy in Japan making those signals pictured above. They were spendy so I didn't order them at the time. I will see if I can find the info.

 

Yeah, don't bother importing a suboptimal product. Try to get Valenti to design a better version as follows:

- LED DRL and front blinkers in one
- Edge-to-edge design (or a thin border at most)
- No cheese grater (this isn't the 1990s and we don't have the 89-93 Mustang GT with its cheese grater taillights anymore)
- Same unique jewel design as the Valenti taillights

OK, I found the some information from bino a while back.

I think this site had the signals: Japanese Model Kit Go Boy Store but can't find anything now.

Also this site: Home page . It doesn't appear to have those signals but has a lot of other good stuff for the Prius!

Can we get video demo of your lights. During day with parking lights on... in sunny conditions and overcast or night video \ photos if no video…


Looking at URL provided by BINO found a few pictures... BINO, understand you set up DRL lights to parking lights.. Are they not bright like Audio ... Can you see during sunny day... how bright are turn signal... Don't want safty issue over a look...

True, but this DRL light looks too blue to be legal.




We'd need the one with white DRL light. The other version that bino posted seems to have much darker gray border and I assume blue lens instead of white. Which one do you have on your Prius and is it white DRL, bino?

I have the white ones... the ones on the picture are blue ( I just can't find a link with the white one right now)..........

 

So correct me if I'm wrong, you have the clear lens like in the 1st picture and white DRL but with darker gray border like in the 2nd picture. Or are the borders the same and they look lighter/darker because of different lighting in the photos?
