1) Enjoy the car! 2) Watch the owner's DVD and read the manual. 3) Keep reading PriusChat and ask questions about anything you want to know about the Prius. It's an excellent resource. 4) Don't fall in love with EV mode. (It's hard. ) Remember that ultimately your battery charge comes from gasoline. If you're fighting to keep it in EV you'll have worse mileage.
Thanks for the welcome.Ive been lurking for a while.Deciding if a engine block heater or constant cerculation heater is worth it or not.Gonna grill block the bottom soon. And after reading think im gonna spring for some x-ice tires.Trying to decide if im going to mount on the stock rims or buy some steel ones just for winter. Lots of things to decide. Also anyone know how to turn off that annoying back up beeper.
Welcome, Buckeye. I'm a former Buckeye and still venture south of the border regularly. Backup beeper can be changed by the dealer. I'm running XIce2s on the stock 15" wheels with no wheelcovers. I plan to put nicer wheels on it for summer use. I don't think I'll need additional warming for the engine as the car is garaged every night. But, we'll see after the first winter.
Thanks for the welcome. So living in michigan who do you cheer for???LOL Well I know that these car take a hit in the winter so I will probibly grill block the bottom. As far as rims if i wasnt so cheap I would prob do the same and find some aftermarket ones but unless they are used and a great deal im gonna stick with the stock ones
Since I have a graduate degree from UofM (and we now have a real football coach) I feel somewhat obligated to support Michigan. However, I don't really follow college sports.
