I'm getting close to 5,000 miles and am looking for your opinion as to which dealer has the better service department. IRA Toyota of Manchester Grappone of Concord Toyato of Nashua I have been to all three but all the service writers don't seem to inspire any confidence in me. Guess I'm not used to dealing with air headed females straight out of high school that have to call someone for a simple question.
My Prius came from Nashua. They were fine for an internet sale. The parts department chided me for wanting to buy transmission fluid for a fluid change at 30,000 miles, though. What service are you looking for at 5,000 miles? Personally, I'd recommend an oil and filter change, but a dealership might insist this is not needed until 10,000 miles. Did your selling dealer give you a voucher for an oil change? Just a couple of thoughts...
I've got 2 years/24,000 free maintenance with the purchase of the vehicle. I bought it at Toyota of Nashua. Some service departments are better than others, just looking for past experiences should the time come that I need any work done other than oil changes and tire rotations.
I was not impressed w/ the svc at Grappone in Feb 10 when I had them do the 5K oil chg (I'd bought the car from them). They broke one of the special clips for the oil door, replacing it w/ a cheapo that can only be pulled out w/ pliers. And, they left the cartridge wrench jammed onto the filter body, which I discovered when I went to go do the 10K change myself. When I returned their filter wrench, they didn't seem too surprised or apologetic.
