I found this forum a few years ago when I was considering getting a used Prius because a mechanic said my car was toast (burning oil). I decided after reading the fourm I would push my car a bit longer so I could wait and get a new Prius.

I got a few more years out of my car (Saturn,1995, SC2...~212,000miles). My much loved Saturn has only one more trip left to the dealership for the trade.

I have picked the 2011, 4, with Solar Moon Roof pckg, Blue Ribbon Metalic.

I kinda wish I could have held out for the 2012 new sound system, but my car is done, so nows the time.

Hi and WELCOME! Don't worry...I would have loved to hold out for the 2012 too but when the car is toast you gotta make a move. A person could drive themselves crazy waiting for the improved newer model. I'm a iPhone owner so you'd think I'd be used to it!

You had one of the last of the good Saturns and gave it a long life. Well done.

Good job holding onto the Saturn for so long. You'll love the new car. I'm going to try and hold onto my Prius till at least 200k. I just passed 150k last week.

Thanks, I'm sad to see it go. My husband thinks Im crazy to get attached to the car. I drive 500 mi/wk so I can't wait to see the gas savings. I wish I could have by-passed some of the expensive options on the Prius, but I just could not help myself.:)

If you keep this car another 16 years and 200+K miles, the added cost of those options will be minimal in the larger picture.
