Here is my ride, located in Helsinki, Finland. We have winters of sometimes colder than -20 C (-4F) so let's see how we cope with that. Summers are +20 C (~70 F) or above. Now my mileage has been 4.8 l/100km (49 MPG) with the first few tanks on my 2009 "new" Prius which has 65 tkm (40 tm) on the odometer. Just learning how to drive and how the car wants to be driven Swapped from an Audi Avant turbo multitronic, so far the mileage has been about double already! Love the car and how it rides, plus it also has a lot of room despite the compact size. This week I'm installing Engine Block Heater and Interior Heater. Also adding some Grill Blocking asap. BIG Thanks for the great instructions in the forum. Some pics attached, the one from front was taken when fitting new tyres just a few days ago. See you on the Chat, Cheers
Just picked my new (used: 2007) Prius up on Monday So far so good. I was running almost entirely on electric when I got off the highway today and needed to post a pic of my success
(ignore my weird pose, my husband is not a famous photographer) 10/3/11 2011 Blizzard Pearl Prius PII Purchased after my 2009 Silver Pine Mica PII was totaled 9/13/11 (100% not my fault).
At the risk of being exposed as a computer illiterate, how do you add a picture to the message window?
i don't have any pics but I'd just like to thank all of ya'll for accepting me into the prius forum world! lookin' forward to chatting with ya'll!
Here's our "gently used" (21,626 kms.) 2010 Toyota Prius with Premium Package and Solar Panels, which we took delivery of on September 29, 2011. The in service date is July 24, 2010. Really enjoying the car and the gas savings so far. Not sure what number this is, they don't use numbers in Canada for some reason?
I can't get that crazy lady out of my car. She won't even get the windows tinted because she's afraid of other people "touching it aggressively"
Haven't yet taken our 2 plus weeks old Prius to anywhere interesting enough to give it a pretty background, and it sure could use a bath about now. But I did take some detail type photos that are kind of fun: Daytime: Night: The car has more miles on it than this indicates. But the mpg is typical of what we've been getting. It was also the picture I had the hardest time figuring out how to take. I'm still a happy camper - the huge smile doesn't leave my face whenever I'm behind the wheel.
Bought my new to me 2008 Prius base and can't be happier. I just wish the Prius V would come with 7 seats, so I could have Prii. Here's my ride:
Hello. I come here because my wife forced me to test drive a prius! I have always had a truck of some sort, most lifted and lovers of the petrol juice. Recently I've had a 5.9L Grand cherokee, and a 1 ton diesel Ford Crew. I still have my Ford Expedition EB 5.4L 4x4 sitting in my detatched garage... it is not happy with me. So I test drove the 3rd gen 2011 prius. Our dealership had twenty of them a month ago, they are all gone now. No I didn't buy all twenty,,, but I did buy two! Well, a three, and a two to be exact. On the test drive I dispelled most of the myths that I'd heard about the Prius. Slow,,, was that a Prius that just flew by? No, the 3rd Gen is not slow, not a race car, but surprisingly not slow. Cramped and uncomfortable,,, wow, these seats are nice, and the room,,, I love the hatch back,,, more on this because my job requires me to carry a lot of stuff,,, Ugly, well they take a little getting used to, but the 3rd gens especially, are asthetically apeaing to me... the projector head lights, the factory body kit, with the low slung front chin. On line I finally dispelled my last myth, that the Prius is less "Eco" friendly than my petrol gulping Ford trucks... Not true, the factory now runs on 50% solar power, plastics in the car are mostly recycled, the batteries are 90% recyclable, and they get even better fuel economy than the previous gens... Hmmm. I drive about 3 to 4000 miles per month. My fuel bill for the Expy was around $600 to a thousand dollars per month. This month alone, my first month with the prius..sss, Prii? I've saved a little over $1100!! $750 on my vehicle alone in savings! Well, my wife is right, she usually is. I am an Orhtopaedic Sales Rep, I drive a lot. I carry a lot as well. Main thing is a big huge cooler for implants that stay between 65 to 80*. It's taken a bit of an effort, but with the back seats folded down, it all fits. The hatch is tall enough for me to fit under without bumping my head, I'm 6'1". My Prius is the base two, except for the Lexus Pearl White, and the floor mats, and the silver body side molding. Well here are the pics... I absolutely LOVE the car... er cars! Photobucket is down this AM. I'll get the pics up here pronto.
