Ouch, my back aches just thinking about driving that much. But it's good to know someone is willing to do it. How far do you intend to go before getting a new one? 500k?
You're almost 1/2 way there and you've got 9 years on him! Million Mile Joe honored with 2012 Honda Accord and parade
UPDATE: 429323 I will try for 500000 dont know how much more of this I could possibly take. Original hybrid battery, and original aux battery, still getting in the green. Original inverter and fluid, except for maybe 1 ounce to top off. Original water pump. Original brakes front and back. Original engine. Original transaxle. Combination meter still acting stupid when it feels like it. Thats it im done. IS THERE ANYONE IN THE RUNNING FOR THIS ACHIEVEMENT I AM CURIOUS IF AND HOW FAR BEHIND SOMEBODY IS.
A snippet of an old song popped into my head from Carly Simon about anticipation " We can never know about the days to come But we think about them anyway And I wonder if I'm really with you now Or just chasing after some finer day. "
2 fas 4 u, Hey glad you set your goal to 500K now! To reward yourself, add some LED lighting or a massage pad...
2 fas 4 u, I have a question, maybe you posted about it on previous pages but sorry didn't have the time to look at it; how many times did you change the ATF and what's your intervals on that, every 50K or 80K? Or have ever changed it at all? Thanks, enjoy the ride.
UPDATE: CONGRATULATIONS. Again thanks alot to those who have given me support and advice, it is much appreciated. Its now time to get that combo meter fixed, it is driving me crazy. I have about 2000 miles driving when it goes out. Having to disconnect the negative of battery to restart it. AGAIN thanks.
2 fast-if you don't plan on keeping it to 500k can you sell it to someone on the forum who will? I'm sure someone is looking for a high mileage all original prius
I'm between a decision to sell or keep, however very interested in Prius v wagon now that it is here. I guess it depends on how much one is willing to pay. If price is right i will highly consider.
at 430k miles, an 09 base is worth anywhere from $3200-$7000 via trade-in and private party. Real world estimate is about $5500 I'm assuming. $5500 for an 09 prius seems like a steal...but at 430k its scary buying second hand lol if I didn't have 6 cars I'd be more than willing to pay $4500 for that car tomorrow...if for nothing else, just to say I had a prius that went to 500k I am more than willing to bet Toyota would replace that car with a new prius when you hit 1 million miles
Wow thanks for all the info 2 Fas 4 u! It's great to see you're doing all those miles pretty much trouble free! What kind of condition is your car in? Is the paint and interior still looking alright? Pics would be great!
If you break the 1 million honda, it will become a collector's car, modern future antique... whatever
I turned 290K just today and my HV battery is also original, I don't see any signs of a unhealthy battery so far but time will tell, have some other priuses in our fleet that had battery problems in their early to mid 100s Cheers
