Suggestions Needed: Removing Chewing Gum from Cloth Seats

    Try cooling it down with an ice cube then pulling it off the fabric.

    I haven't tried that but read that it works someplace.

    Edit: I checked Google. Google chewing gum removal ice for loads of suggestions on using ice.

    Ice works for removing gum on lots of fabrics. Once you get the main mass off you can freeze whats left then try rubbing it off with a cloth or soft brush.

    Zippo or another type of lighter fluid is what I always remember grandpa using when one of us grand kids got gum where we shouldn't have.

    Goof Off - my brother got gum ll over my Crown Vic seats - rubs goof off on it, and it rolled right off.

    Toyota Fabric Spot Remover works very well, though I haven't tried it on gum.

    Tried sopping it up with a little water and a paper towl. Big mistake, never use a paper towel....

    Don't use ice - buy the pressurized cans that blow air (for cleaning keyboards etc).

    Turn the can upside down, and you get a *very* cold spray that is far colder than ice. It also does not stain, and evaporates into the air (dry).

    Its actually a lot cleaner and unnoticable than the second pic shows.
