    Hi All
I just bought a 2011 prius level 3 and I am incredibly excited, ordered the oem foglights from trdsparks toyota dealer.
I have installed and wired the system according to instructions , followed it to the T.
I tapped in the orange/black wire of the fog light harness to connector 2C pin 32(green wire) on the ECU and tapped the green/black wire of the fog light harness to connector L47 pin 11(pink wire) on the steering column.
Now the problem I am having is when the low beams are on and I turn on the fog lights the low beam turns off and the fog lights don't turn on.
I have tried everything, the relays click but nothing.
I even subscribed to TIS but nothing i found helped me.
    PLEASE HELP
    Sincerely
    Ralph:mad:

Did the foglight kit come with any electrical wiring diagrams? I installed the Prius Chat OEM foglight kit but it had completely different wiring points than the one that you are describing.

Have you called the dealer where you bought the kit?

this sounds like the relay is used to kill the fogs when the high beams are turned on. Check to make sure you are connected up correctly on the relater terminals.

Thanks for your reply, yes I did call the dealer, they could't help me at all.
Your right about the wiring layout, with all the searches I did no body had the same wiring set up. They had one wire coming out of the fog light harness and was being T-taped on to the brown wire coming out of the 2C connector. The part # of the fog lights is 00016-47401.

Its interesting you say that. It came with 2 relays one that goes in the hood and the other goes into the interior of the car. Both relays are exact same relays, do you think that could be the problem?
Thanks so much for your reply

well, they have an 87 and 87a terminal. One is normally open (87) and one normally closed(87a). The one that's on the high beams most likely need to be on the 87a, so if power comes to the high beam, it energizes the relay, and opens the 87a, killing the power feed. When the highs are turned off, power ifs fed again to the 87a terminal.

    check out the photo

Tim, you're great. Thank you so much for your time and effort.
But my relays are completely different then you have illustrated, they do say 87 but no A or B designation and the spades are set up differently.

:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:Yes it does, thank you so, so much.
The yellow wire was the one!
I found out by trial and error.
I wanted to tested for a day and then post the results.
I am sure many will have the same problem in the future, and hopefully this thread will help.
