Why does Blizzard Pearl get a superscript?

the other superscripts I could get info on, but not 1....

I wonder how much more efficient the supply chain will be, and how much cost savings will be realized if the actual ordering holds true to the survey.

At this point I understand how my dogs feel when they tell me it's dinnertime and all they get is a treat.

 

Unfortunately nowhere to tell them I think their color choices suck so I opted for the White base package.

Yeah, I got excited when I saw an email from Toyota, and it turned out to be a survey.
I'm going with Winter Gray, similar to the gray on my '06.

 

clearly, they don't care what color/package you want. They are trying to judge how long from when they first send out the "order now" email until the time when their web server crashes....

 

I got the same email as well. Before that my dealer said save the Oct 27th date and details to follow on Oct 21st (today).

Something big is coming on Oct 27th. Time to order?

 

I would expect that they would use this for planning the early stages of production. They can take the responses as an indication on how to schedule build. If they get lots of people asking for the Gray or Green then no sense in building 70% silver like they did for the Gen II.

I can also see them using it to gage order volume. How quickly did people react and what percentage of the 40 odd thousand hand raisers opted for a color and package.

Actually quite a smart move on their part and might mean the difference between crashing the server and processing orders during the early time when the order system is open.

 

Have a 06 Seaside Pearl, think I'll try a standard Blizzard Pearl this time around.

I think it's because the white typically costs extra. For the standard Prius, the white is $220 more.

Based on all of the information made available so far, I was thinking that they were going to drop the Blizzard Pearl surcharge for the Plug-in, but I also noticed the subscript 1 next to this color on the survey page so it looks like I may have assumed incorrectly.

 

How does one check to see where they are/are they on the "list" I did it so long ago, I can't remember which dealer I chose..

 

You can check to see if you are on the list by visiting the Toyota Plug In site. But a good sign would be if you are recieving emails like the one mentioned in this thread. I signed up months ago, forgot about it and came back here recently when the email volume picked up and I knew it was time.

But I am on the list and have gotten ALL of the other emails except I did not get this one!

 

I guess you'll be the jealous one as I ride around in my Plug In.

 

I didn't get it either. Surveys are often sent only to a subset of people - looks like we are not representative. Not to worry.
