It looks good! How much does the whole cat back weigh and how does it affect your MPGs?

It looks really good. If I were serious about aftermarket exhausts, however, I would look into GReddy exhaust systems, like this TRUST exhaust:

Thanks for the comments, I am not 100% sure it goes all the way to the catalytic converter, but it replaced the whole tailpipe, muffler and the section of pipe about 21/2 feet long to the first bolts. I assume that is where it attatches to the cat. As fat as weight and mileage, i can only tell you it is probably double the weight if the single exhaust, which is not heavy. This is my first tank with the new pipes so i will let you know. I will say I get alot of looks.

I gotta do my tails, too, but can't find the tools ANYWHERE here. I bought a kit for interior work that has all those tools, almost a month ago.....but still haven't received it.

I took the short cut and added the dual exhaust tips for $35.

If you have arthritis like you said you do, you should get them professionally installed.

I think it looks good, the whole car does actually.

I installed the Tom's exhaust on my '06 Prius and it sounded nice, not farty or sharp at all, and not loud either. Just a remarkably deep, quiet note that went well with the car. I liked the appearance of the single oval tailpipe, too.

Aesthetically, yours is very pleasing. Don't know if it's a bit too stylish for my taste—functionally speaking, four tips is a lot—but the pics look great.

Looks very nice. However doesn't it make it more odd? I mean now you have an audible "growl" when the engine is on like a normal car, but when you pull up to a light, it goes away. Are people looking "did the car just stall?"

My dealership said they'd do it. Is it safe for them to do something like that? My concern is someone scratching up the lenses.... It's similar to a shiny black piano-ish finish, and I have a suspicion that they will scratch easily.... I have this picture in my mind of them laying them down, face down, on the concrete garage floor in the service dept...

So none of the ones in that kit I bought will be useful for the tail lights then?

  14. You could probably use one as a shoe horn and another as a back scratcher. Sorry man...:(

If you don't trust them, then use the body shop that you have "trained." After all, you're trusting it to install the Fledermaus kit you're getting.

It can still work if it's thin enough to insert into the gap. Heck, even a sturdy 99 cent plastic putty knife can do the job.

Thanks for all the comments. Different is good, some more different than others, but that is what this forum promotes. Everything I have done began with this forum.
