Those would look good with the shiny internal plastic painted to match your car or black.

I've thought about that but I'm sure I'd screw it up. Besides, the high polished wheels kinda match the headlights. :D

Do they have picture of the Phillips on the top and Mori on the bottom? I don't doubt that the Phillips is better but the picture is biased in favor of the Phillips making the difference look bigger than it actually is. The Mori appears to be a significantly higher color temperature which means less light and the Phillips has the advantage of also having the Mori's light contributing to it's image.

XS650 brings up a good point. Is there a reverse order picture available?

I've been told before that I'm never satisfied no matter what I do to my house/car/bikes/etc. I've got several items on my list of "wants" for them, but unless I win the lottery probably won't get them all done!

Have you gotten the new kit for the HD back yet?

I've gotten to the point that I am confident that I could perform this mod for others so if anyone is interested in upgrading their headlights but are afraid of a little baking then let me know and we can work out a method for your upgrade. I wouldn't charge nearly as much as the retrofit companies. ;)

I would need to finish Matt's (Wickert1) motorcycle retrofit first though. That guy is one patient mofo. I just wish his bike was as easy as the Prius!

I'll probably take you up on this at some point! Do you think that you would be able to insert LEDs into the existing spaces for the fake LEDs for DRL functionality? The Retrofit Source's LED kit would probably be way easier; I've checked out both install threads on Priuschat.

It is possible but you may need a small circuit board to handle all of the LEDs. I don't do that kind of work but my boys at the streo shop might or we could convince Darelldd to help since he just lives down the road and is a master with LED circuits!

    Damm you guys...:D:D:D

I've been working on my retro for some time now, but keep getting other things that pull me away. My retro includes:

Euro Prius headlights, FX-R projectors, OEM D4 Denso Ballasts.

This was the route I was going, but has since changed.

Your FX-Rs are going to spank our H1s! I soooo want them but I was scared I wouldn't get the rotation correct before sealing them up. I still have a set of the 2.0 s sitting in my backseat that I need to ship back.

    Keep us updated!

Hey F8L, how do you adjust the height of the projector cutoff after its installed?

You just use the oem adjustment screw. It's really simple and though most wrenches don't fit well in that location so I'd use a box wrench for the easiest access. I've been using a socket and twisting it with my hands but I've dropped it a few times and it's tough to find after that. lol

The height of the cuttoff is easy to fit. The rotation of the projector, umm not so much unless you have the H1s or D2S. With the FX-Rs you are SOL once they are JB Welded into the housing.

That can be done with the headlight adjusters on the back of the headlight. If you find that you cant get it aimed right, you might need to re-position the projector in the housing.
