Return to Prius (Almost)

    September 1st! Up date page 2!

    So as some of member knows I uses own NHW20 in Japan.
    Job reason I left Japan and move to China. But again my job require to be in Japan and I need a car.
    My NHW20 is handed down to my father but he decided to buy Lexus HS.
    So basically upgraded to something nicer than Prius.

    Well pass month taking driving less and apply for Japanese driver license finally I am legally drive in Japan now.
    But I do not have car.....
    So yet again company give me budget and find car I want.
    My wife say SUV or mini van but I told her need something particle in Japan. So car shopping began and nail down to 3 possibility.
    Which are Honda Odyssey, Subaru Forester and Prius A.

    Come to conclusion to Prius A but dealer told me delivery time frame is about 1Yr!!!:mad:
    I can not wait that long and I need car with in 3month!
    So I asked what about Prius?? They advice me about 4month wait and I told thats fine.
    So now I placed order in mid June and dealer told me will deliver by September. So now waiting game began! :(

    Pearl White / Gray interior
    No Navigation

    Dealer options are
    Delivery package(mats, vanity frame, window deflectors)
    Navigation w/G-book Pro and back-up camera
    (But I have second thoughts I'm interest for Pioneer Cyber Navi)
    Illumination emblem
    Cargo Mats

    Plans
    LED Interior light
    Shark Fin Antenna

    So stay tune for next

    Welcome back! The will be a nice Prius for sure, you made the right choice. Still can't believe that there is that long of a wait list there.

    Well the beginning I was go for Prius Alpha G Touring (5-Seater) with twin roof (Panorama Sunroof). But delivery time frame is about 1yr :mad:

    So I decided to get Prius :)

    Well since after earthquake production line was holt. Because luck of parts and battery for Hybrid.
    So Toyota is now try to catch up back orders right now. On other hand Toyota introduced Prius Alpha now ever more production space are limited and delivery time frame is much longer for both.:(

    Before earthquake delivery time frame was 2month for Prius.
    Majority of order is Pearl White, Black, and Dark Blue Mica.

    So if any time come to Toyota Country (Nagoya Japan) there is may white Prius on the street! I will be one of them soon!:rockon:

    Well yes and no. I am self employee so anything goes wrong its my rear end :(
    I do not like drive nice car or I am like analog type person. Therefore I love car from back them and Prius is too high tech for me.
    I gave Lexus to my wife because she dedicated so much to our company for many yrs.

    Hey welcome back!

    Congrats on your new G-Touring (well in 4 months anyway).

    anyone noticed Toyota's sending most of the production to North America (yes Canada is guilty of that too)?? The rest of the world (Japan, UK, Australia etc) have waiting lists.

    Today I demanded more answer for delivery time frame. But there is no answer yet. According to information from Prius club in Japan, delivery time frame is 3month or less. So should show up by end of August or first week of September.

    Well Just I can do is wait

    Still no word but should be few weeks a way!

    Dealer representative brought paper works other day and I confirmed dealer installed option.

    But still now word for when dealer can install navigation system. :mad:

    Also ask for custom vanity plate and number (no letters in Japan) will be my wife's birthday.:D

    Can not wait!!

    Waiting stinks. I'm visiting my dealer today to have them appraise my possible trade-in (07 Subaru Outback) and get financing details to compare with my credit union. Delivery time is supposedly 1-2 weeks away.

    Can't you get those illuminated licence plates in Japan or were those just illegal aftermarket ones?

    Yes there is illuminated license plate available in Japan. And not popular anymore.
    But I ordered illuminated Toyota emblem for front and back :D

    Sounds very good!

    What is the "four corners voice warning radar"?

    Does it just work for tight spaces, like parking?

    Or does it give a warning on the highway if a car is in your blind spot and you try to change lanes?

    Is it available in US?

    Should be available in US but not from Toyota

    This is very common for European cars. The sonar device which very helpful in tight space.
