I am going to do all of this in one day, so i want to make sure i have the right part numbers around here. I'm going to change the oil, change the ATF, change the inverter coolant and change the engine coolant. Oil change: 4qts oil 90915-YZZF2 oil filter 90430-12031 gasket AFT change: 4qts 00289-ATFWS atf oil (2) 90430-18008 gaskets Inverter coolant change: 90430-18008 gasket 3 gallons SLLC coolant total for engine/inverter So, am i missing anything? Any other gaskets, etc? Do i have the right part numbers? And i rounded up on the coolant amounts as necessary. It's a 2007 model BTW. Thanks in advance.
If you supply your VIN number when you are putting in your order, the system will verify that you have the correct part numbers. I presume that you are visiting a dealer for the ATF and coolant -- as far as I know, none of the online sellers will ship fluids. Check with your dealer to see if your car falls under the inverter cooling pump recall. That will give you a free coolant exchange in that part. Be sure that you understand how to refill the coolant heat storage tank before you drain it, and read up on bleeding air out of the system as well. Same goes for bleeding air out the inverter cooling pump system. Lots of threads here on these procedures. If either system air locks, then you will get triangle malfunction codes. Check carefully the area around the engine water pump for signs of weeping. If you see pink residue particularly on top of the A/C compressor, then the water pump should be changed in addition to servicing the engine coolant.
Thats alot of work for one day. Not sure where all your gaskets come from. I have done most listed myself on my 07 also: Oil change Takes 3.5 quarts with a new filter. No more PN is correct for filter No gasket needed. But if high miles get a new bolt for the pan. Its sacrificial like most pan bolts. ATF 4 qrts WS Fluid No gasket needed but get new washer for the dump bolt. Inverter Coolant I gallon SLLC. No gasket needed. Engine Coolant 4 gallons SLLC No gasket needed. Have never down this myself but would not attempt without a Highlift Airlock Vac Purge. Air Locks are very hard to get out of modern cars. And without a highlift you will never have 100% confidence all the air is out of the system.
I think here gaskets == crush washers. On my RAV, I still have the same oil pan crush washer going on 30+ changes. But there's no knock on being conservative with the coolant and ATF crush washers, since opening a drain back up to fix a leak can undo quite a bit of work.
Wait a minute here...everywhere else says 9 quarts (just over 2 gallons) for the engine...what do i need 4 gallons for? And yes, i was speaking of crush washers...where are they all located when changing engine coolant, converter coolant, and transmission oil? I should be able to get it done in a day, i've worked on cars for a while now...this is a lot easier than changing a cylinder head, timing belts, water pumps, engine and transmission swaps, entire suspensions, entire exhausts, etc.
