Looks slick! I plan to do the same!! How many layers did you apply with each can? How long did you wait for each layer to cure. Did you use paint primer first? If not, do you recommend it? Thanks for sharing!

I did not use any primer, and no sanding. Used two coats of black, and three or four of the clear. I did light coats, didn't want any runs. Gave each coat time to no longer be tacky, in my area that means about 20-30 minutes. I let them dry for about a week before I installed them, mostly because I didn't have time to install. I would let them set for at least a day before installing.

They have been installed for about 3 weeks now, and no problems yet. I was happy with the paint, can't tell any difference between the car and the lights. I waxed the car shortly after installing them and it only made the paint closer match the car. No signs of cracking or chipping yet. It is standing up to the Louisiana's highway bugs.:D I think the paint will last, but only time will tell.

I've used the Krylon Fusion gloss black on my motorcycle a great deal. I use it on the headlight bezel. It holds up pretty well but I've found that if I let crushed bug guts stay on it too long, it will take the finish off. I've had to repaint it about once every 2 years.

Has anybody done the fog light install with the factory steering column tree? I've seen a couple references to it but I'd like to get some more info.

Does anyone know what bulb size for this fog light kit ?

I am planning to get this kit and install HID on them.

    I am new to here.

I do not know where to search for it.

    Sorry about it.

For those of you going HID I assume this is for cosmetic purposes and not for true fog use. If you are planning on using them for actual fog you will be better off using a halogen bulb. :)

I have a quick question, can I just simply connect the wires to my low beam power source ? Because I do not really care about the button and stuff. I rather to have my fog on when I turn on my low beam at night.

If anyone of you have done that, please let me know.

    Thank you !

You can do that, but I would suggest getting a relay.. your relay would get the signal from your low beams to turn on.. then you would tap the actual power from the fuse box ..

What kind of relay do I need ? Because I do not really sure which one I will need. I want to make sure everything will work out well before I place the order.

    Hi Danny,

I have a quick question, is it possible to purchase only the fog light lamps instead of the whole kit ?

Because I do not really need the button, wires, and the light bulbs.

I just need the Fog light trim pieces (fog light lamps).

Please let me know if it is possible to make a order without purchasing the whole set.

    ;)
I puchased these lights and had them installed by a local body shop. It cost me 73$ and the guy said he would like more of those jobs. The lights are just great.

Just installed mine today on my 2011!!

The 2011's fuse boxes are different!!! There is a 30 amp fuse above the white wire in the fuse box. So, since the instructions said to use this fuse location I did. When I did and tested the fog lights, I got a "P Lock Malfunction"!! I kinda freaked out since my car has just under 5000 miles on it. I found Puddlejumper's post and put the fuse back and plugged my red wire into an open slot in the top left corner of the fuse box. Now everything works great!! Thanks Puddlejumper!!

These fogs look good!! I also installed some h11 3000k Hids. to get some extra light at night.

So, if you have a 2011 and plan on doing this, use the open slot in the top left corner of the fuse box!!

I had these lilghts installed according to the instructions and you can have high beams on and the fog lights the same time. Also fog lights and low beams. You can use foglights alone on the first notch with parking lights after you hit the dashboard switch. These lights are bright enough to use as low beams all the time. Great lights.
