    Hi All,

Need some advice. I put in an order for Prius Blue with Bisque interior back in end of May and my sales rep finally stated that its the way nowm but no ETA. Back in end of May, the going price was MSRP - 24,280. So my question is can I re-negotiate since the prices seem to be dipping now? I don't believe I will lose the deposite as the sales rep had stated that it is fully refundable back in May or is is that binding now that the car is its way? Thank you.

if not you can cancel order and put new one. Not sure about you but in our state if you didn't get delivery within 30 days you can cancel order.

It appears that people in my area are still jumping all over every Prius when it arrives on the lots. I'm sure if you walked away from the purchase, it would sell anyways.

Would you say then 24, 280 is still a good price in the midwest? I'm buying in Twin cities, MN.

Can you tell us more about the car? For 24,280, I'm assuming a Prius 2. Any other options, carpet, homelink mirror, etc?

Sure. sorry forgot all about that.

Prius 2, no mats, no other options. Except they threw in edge guards.

the only way to know is to check a few dealers. seems to be different everywhere you go. doesn't seem like a bad price though.

Actually that is a pretty high price. A good price 3 weeks ago- not so great now. Prices keep coming down- about 23,500 now in Cali anyway- now that the lots are full of cars.

It never hurts to ask. Are there other Prii on the lot or at other lots in your area? If so, try and negotiate a lower price on one they have in stock and then ask your dealership if they will match the price. If they do then you get your Prius at a better price, if not buy the lower priced one and drive free for awhile on your savings!

Thanks All! I checked around and even got quotes from a few dealers, it seems in Minnesota and in the midwest region, the shortage is still a reality that I have to deal with. I was hoping all those good things I've been hearing in South Cali were also true here, but alas it's not. Mostly likely, Toyota has allocated a lot more Prii to Cali and Florida where the markets are larger. So going bite the bullet and get it for 24,280 in the exact color combination that I want. Blue in Bisque. Take care.
