Maybe I missed this in a search, but didn't find it.

Best place to buy led style replacement bulbs and the bulb to remove the egg yoke look?

    Thank you

Reputable companies offer warranties. Stick with them and you shouldn't have any problems exchanging defective bulbs, which are rare.

It's not rare at all. All LED bulbs you see on the internet are extremely cheap and unpredictable.

If you do, buy Super Bright Led SMD LED's. They are probably the best quality I've ever seen. However, I've had a problem with the SBL LED's interfering with my TPMS sensor. Only in the license plate light area though. Anywhere else they are fine.

+1. I like SuperBrightLEDs for their 1 year warranty and no hassle policy. I got a defective bulb from them that burnt out in 2 weeks (license plate). Mailed it to them w/ the sheet in a plain letter envelope and got a new one back in a couple weeks.

As far as being the best quality that's debatable. All these bulbs come from China. You could easily buy a bulb for $1 from China on eBay. The color might be slightly blue but it might last longer than one from SBLEDs. You never know. It's a game of luck.

The nice thing about SuperBrightLEDs is their color accuracy, measurement charts, and customer service.

That's why I said to buy from reputable companies like SBL or iJDMToy.com

I thought you implied defective bulbs are rare.

I still think defective bulbs from reputable companies are rare. Otherwise, they'd be spending all their time exchanging them instead of selling them.

Well I had 1 out of 5 that were defective. Small sample size, I know. But doesn't strengthen the case for "rare"...

What if that 1 out of 5 only happens to 1 out of 500 or even 5000 customers? Personal anecdotes are meaningless.

I seriously doubt it. It's more likely that people are too lazy to send them in or do anything about it.

BTW, personal anecdotes are always fun because they have some truth behind them.

Or too lazy to troubleshoot them, such as switching the polarity around or fixing the loose connection by flipping the metal pins outwards, two most common reasons causing the LED not to light up.

Personal anecdotes also gave us SUA in the Prius and the associated trolls here.

I've had several LED bulbs burn out on my G3 Prius in the parking light location. I tried 6 LED SMT, 9 LED SMT, and a few single LED with a 180 degree reflector globe or something on top. I'm debating just going back to the ugly incandescent bulb just so I don't have to worry with it anymore. I'm kind of glad I only did the 1 location because it's not too hard to access.

Ironically, I had them in one of my motorcycles for the turn/run lights and they worked fine with the upgraded flasher unit for it. I believe they came from superbright LEDs but I can't recall for certain.

I'd recommend spending more money on getting higher quality LED bulbs from Super Bright LED then getting those knock off eBay bulbs. Lesson learned! All of those cheap stuff "busted" after a short period of time and massed up your housing.

I've never herd of that place. However, those LED's look similar to the better quality Super Bright LED's. Those LED's will work, but I've never herd of that website and.. well..who knows. I still always recommend Super Bright LED's. I've never had a fixture go out on me, and I have every single are in my care replaced with them. Not to mention, they ship out right from the center of the USA and I normally get what I order in 2 days. It's $6.00 per bulb, but I think you should spend the extra if you're willing. Link

Why would you purchase from a place with only 90 day warranty instead of superbrightleds with 1 full year warranty, for the same product?

The only reason you shouldn't go with SBL is if they don't carry what you want. I'm using iJDMToy LEDs because SBL didn't have what I want.
