Em primeira mão: fotos do novo Toyota Camry 2012 | Notícias Automotivas - Carros

    Pointers:
    1. 15% better mpg than Lexus HS in Japan.
    2. 19hp more for 206 hp total.
    3. Only version of Camry for Japan.
    4. 440l trunk - 50% bigger than Camry Hybrid, bigger than 2011 regular Camry! 15.5cuft for Hybrid!!!
    5. Camry Hybrid and Camry will have different front end styling world wide as can be seen by the pics.
    6. Uses new 2.5l AR engine.
    7. More than 2" additional legroom space at the back, vehicle only 0.4" larger than before.

MPG could be between 36 MPG (if we count by Prius v) up to 40 MPG (if we count by Lexus HS)... hard to say on Japanese test cycle.

Awesome, I think you may have found the hybrid version of it. It does have some family resemblance with the Toyota Sai (Lexus HS). A combined 40mpg would be great for marketing this car. Ford Fusion also has great mileage, but I don't think Ford has been serious about marketing/selling a lot of it.

With a trunk size like that, Fusion, Sonata nor Optima hybrids won't be able to touch it - lithium or not.

HS250h is rated 35 MPG by EPA. 15% more will make it 40 MPG.

With 15.5 cuft, it is possible that they put a Lithium pack under the console between the front seats.

I think 40mpg is a good magic number, especially for marketing. All the so-called 40mpg gas cars have combined FE in the low 30's.

well, i would say between 36 MPG and 40 MPG, with 0-60 in 7.x range (1.5-2s faster than Sonata Hybrid) and huge trunk.

I dont think it uses lion... since Camry will only be sold as Hybrid in Japan, i dont think they have enough capacity to build enough lions right now, as well as the fact that it will have to be affordable which means Nimh.

i wonder if people think that 206hp Camry HSD with 38mpg would sell considerably better than now?

Considering that it will be considerably faster and more luxurious than Prius, with great trunk (finally), I would think it should shoot up, unless the price is crazy.

Personally, for 26k with similar equipment, I would get Camry with 38mpg but more luxury and sport.

I wanted to get GS450h myself, but detractor was trunk - it was simply way too small for serious car. If Camry truly has 15.5cuft of real trunk, than thats completely different ball game.

If the comfort features are up to snuff with Sonata and Fusion this thing is going to be a MONSTER seller! I might even consider one.

It's just looks so bland. :( I really don't see the styling competing with similar sedans on the market.

For looks, I'd much rather have a Hyundai Sonata. The new Camry rear end looks dated - the chrome bar in the middle between the tail lights had been used before [by some other huge market car that I can't recall right now].

Not a huge selling car but the first thing that popped to mind was Jaguar XF.

I'm thinking this won't be the US Version, the teaser pic showing the headlight clearly is not shaped the same, but close to this pic I found that could be the next Camry:
