Unfortunately my Prius here in FL is about as far as it can be Continental U.S. longitude-wise from an In & Out.
    Darn.
I (not the car) was in SoCal last year but never had a chance to grab a burger. But I (again, no car) was in Chicago last week and stopped at White Castle twice.

My reference to in & out, of course, meant interior & exterior.

As for the woodgrain, I always hoped for a matte finish on any car's wood finish - real or fake. But it always seems to be that high gloss wet look....

Also love White Castle sliders. No White Castle restaurants out here, but you can get them in the freezer section at the grocery store. :D

Does anyone have experience with the door moldings, that have been installed for a longer period of time? Does the buffed chrome finish hold up OK, as in sun/UV? Also since they are mounted on the lower door, can they get banged up by opening the door to a curb or such?
Really love the look-as it classes up the sideview and breaks up the tall body.

I ordered mine and hope they come in soon. Even if they get banged up while opening the door, I think that means the door doesn't get banged up, right?

I also ordered 1 door edge molding. I thought it a bit expensive at $69.90 so only bought it for the driver's side door (at least that's what I think they meant under quanty as "1 each."

Do you need to remove the clear rub strip on the lower rear doors prior to install? Anyone else install these? I think they class up the sideview nicely...

Very, very nice. They both are excellent mods... makes me more motivated to do the same. Good stuff!

Happy Birthday to your Prius, Spiderman!

PC should have a birthday reminder for our beloved Prii.

Update... I'm the OP. Over 1 month now since the install of wood dash and lower door mouldings.

No buyer's/installer's remorse at all. I was concerned the adds would look a bit gaudy and make the car appear too 'pimped'.

But, IMO they look better than in pictures, are of really good quality, easy to install, prices not bad, and really do add a nice touch of customizing and pizazz. Very very pleased with both.

OK you got me... Guess I meant "Delivery Day".

Mine was manufactured -Japan of course- 5/09 - Picked it up -Florida Dealer- 6/13/09.

Side topic... no rattles, only time at dealer was for ABS recall, oil changes, and a noisy lumbar in driver seat. 2 years, 19K miles, and excellent quality etc. Mine was #1628 in Plant #1 - forget the name of it.

Mine will be 2 years old on the 30th, and it looks like it's getting the same thing last year. I did, just today, flip 40,000 miles ;)

I think tomorrow is our buy anniversary.

Mine was built in May though so I just celebrated mid month and got her the shark fin.

I got tint recently so I guess I celebrated purchase day too.

    43k miles. :)

The bamboo wood trim does complement the Bisque interior quite nicely.

DeanFL, i'm not usually into chrome or wood dashes but your Prius looks GREAT! If i were to get a Gen3, i'd get one identical!

I installed both of these on mine - Wow, they look great!

Not a huge fan of most wood dashs, but sure improves the all plastic, esp the grey of the Prius. Nice tone - like the birch style wood dash on the Camry XLE. very pleased.
And the lower door moldings - nice nice quality.
Both adds were extremely easy to install.
Nice way to customize the otherwise drabness.....

    Did anyone else order/install these?

I did last week and very pleased. Wood dash is 'just enough' and the lower door moldings add a very nice accent. Well worth the $$$.
Amazing how the dash appears now - cuts off a lot of the bland gray plastic on the front dash. nice...

I got the lower door moldings. I was afraid of messing up on the install because once you put them on, that's where they are staying. But they installed rather easily. Just take your time.

I also bought the protective edge trim (if that's what it's called). You can't tell they are there as they are rather slim. Thus, I like them as compared to the generic, clear ones that are much thicker and more visible.
