Was kind of a lame vehicle, limited states, no sales to speak of.

Limited states yes. That, not surprisingly, meant limited sales.

My mom has one and when I lived in CA, I actually saw quite a few running around. As I posted in http://priuschat.com/forums/nissan-...-has-5000-incentives-in-ca-3.html#post1218466 "I've seen a ton of NAHs in use as taxis in NYC and a tiny # of them as taxis in Boston.".

It is the closest thing to a reasonably priced performance hybrid that is still currently sold (Consumer Reports - Fuel economy vs. performance). It's too bad the trunk is so darned small!

Um, if you ask any owner about their hyAltima ... they invariably say they LOVE it. As for sales? The number of sales are ALWAYS indicative of the amount of areas they're sold in. I'm kind of surprised when I hear ANY advocate of plug in expressing "content" feeling about ANY well built, decent mileage (as good or better than a Camry) hybrid. But to each his/her own I guess. I'm personally saddened about Nissan's decision, and think it only relates to cross-licensing agreements made with Toyota.
