Hey guys, I'm going to replace my engine air filter and my cabin air filter. Instead of ordering them from the dealer, I'm going to buy them off of parts.com Could you help me verify that I have the right filters? Thanks!

By the descriptions they appear to be the correct parts that fit the 2010 Prius. Without the Toyota part number it is hard to say if these are Toyota OEM parts or not.

Ahh alright. I understand. Is there anyway someone could provide me with the part numbers for these two filters so I can search them and be sure? Thank you!

Based on the list price shown for the cabin filter, I'd say that's not the correct one. When I replaced mine at 15K miles, the dealer I got mine at first came out with one that cost in the $20 range, and it was much flimsier than the one I was replacing, so he went in the back and came out with the correct one, which had a list in the $35 range. The correct part number is: 87139-07010.

Ahaha, that's great. I want to get a vanity plate that fits my name. Maybe I'll choose this one, maybe not. Either way, thanks for the picture. It made me chuckle!:p

Well, I searched for that part number - and it just reverted me back to what I had chosen to begin with in my original post. I may give it a shot and hope for the best. If anyone has the correct engine air filter number I would appreciate that as well.

Here are two cabin filters from Champion Toyota:
Prius20102ZRFXE87139-YZZ08EE 87139-YZZ10 Cthe first filter is 15.00 and the second is reinforced with carbon and is about 26ish.

Here is the info for engine filter : 1780137020 $16.00- Engine service - Filters - Air filter Air filter, prius 2010. There are a ton of online Toyota parts dealers and you may want to order through them.

Going to make a 2600 Mile round trip from Austin to Michigan over the next few days starting tomorrow. The car has 36Kish miles and I am looking to replace the engine Air Filter.

Has anyone used a filter that is non-oem and not purchased from a stealership? hoping to find a fit at a autozone or similar.

quick search online gave the following info and produced cross referenced filters for toyo p/n CA10741: (Not interested in the oem vs. fram etc. debate)

    Product Type Flexible Panel Air
    Product Height 1.46"
    Product I.D. 7.3" (Width)
    Product O.D. 8.62" (Length)

    Purolator - A26114
    Fram- CA10741
    napa- 9320
    Valvoline- VA257

it looks to be prius / ct200h specific filter so I am guessing I might be stuck going thru a toyo parts dept.

    thanks in advance.

    The parts manual I downloaded has the following;
    Cabin air filter 87139-07010
    Engine air filter 17801-37020
I had a look on RockAuto's site and the Wix filters they sell X-ref's on Wix's site as the correct parts for the 2010 Prius. They sell other brands besides Wix as well.

I used NAPA filters last time: ICE 9320, Cabin 4483. The engine filter seems fine, the cabin filter is OK too but lacks stiffeners between the pleats.

I picked up a cabin filter from Advanced Auto parts and it did not work. With the Toyota OEM filter if we drove by a dead skunk it would remove the smell 5 seconds after hitting the button. The new aftermarket never was able to get rid of the smell. I paid a little more and went back to the Toyota OEM filter and it works great again.

Had a hard time locating a Fram. Champion Toyota in Austin wouldn't budge at all off of $27. Stopped by a Carquest on the way to the dealership and got a wix(?) For $22. Parts guy says he'll always have one in stock. Seems comparable to the dirty factory one it replaced. Almost back home and have seen no fluctuations in mpg.

Inputing 87139-07010 on both parts.com and toyotapartscheap.com returned "Part number 87139-07010 was superseded by part number 87139-YZZ08." I read that 87139-47010-83 (hepa filter for the Gen II) is the regular filter whereas 87139-YZZ08 is the charcoal filter. However, 87139-YZZ08 looks nothing like the original cabin filter that came with my car, pictured below, and it's much more filmsy and contains less slits compared to the original. I did replace both the engine and cabin air filters this past weekend and tested the cabin filter this morning using the micro filter and pollen button. Seemed to work fine, but can anybody shed light on why the original filter is so different/more sturdy and if it's at all possible to get a replacement like it? Both are apparently supposed to be charcoal filters.

When I replaced mine a while back, the parts guy initially came out of the stock room with the filter on the right in your pic. Since I had taken my original filter in with me, it was obvious it wasn't the same one (and with half as many pleats, far less filtering surface area), so he went back into the stock room with mine and came back with the correct filter (part number 87139-07010).

Yes, but inputting part number 87139-07010 on the two sites gives a different part number (87139-YZZ08) so that does me no good. I'm wondering where I can find the original cabin filter (which doesn't have a part number imprinted on it, unlike the engine air filter).

I got mine at a Toyota dealer.
